That's a ChatGPT-generated (or cleaned up) statement by the FAB. Right down to the elongated hyphens.
I'd be careful not to rely too heavily on AI when dealing with tricky legal issues. Do hope that a few people who know what they're doing gave that a once-over.

The way I see it, the board will obviously know about the noise. They could have come out and said..."West Ham, and nobody associated with West Ham in any capacity is subject to this purported investigation.". They could even have named the rumoured individual themselves to be clear that whoever this applies to, it was impirically not them.
Of course they could only do those things if it was true, so read into that how you choose.

Our clubs name will be tarnished if any allegations are found to be irrespective that the club aren’t involved. How could it be? It won’t matter to the media, rival fans and even potential investors.

I think it just confirms what everybody knows but cannot say out loud (yet).

Not a chance. If anyone with links to the Club was arrested for such stuff, it's hardly going to go unnoticed.

"West Ham isn’t under investigation"
I think thats clear enough.

Re: Statement from West Ham United Fan Advisory Board today.
- Fans asked FAB about reports of a police probe into an unnamed PL executive.
- Club says West Ham isn’t under investigation and won’t comment on speculation.
- FAB isn’t alleging wrongdoing — but says fans reasonably want reassurance on governance, safeguarding, and accountability.
- FAB will respect due process while continuing to push the club for clarity and high standards to maintain trust.

Very interesting language used - IF you choose to read into it.
