Just need to work in training on these short passes in the opposition penalty area.  Two goals we could have had last night with a better ball, Wilson's to Summerville that was slightly behind him and Summerville to Bowen was just not quite right.

Wilson was always the poacher type and comes alive in the box but time has caught up and while he was never quick he’s now a split second slower to get shots off etc. He is still selfish as strikers often are but he’s offerrimg little more than fresh legs currently. Lets hope he has one more little purple patch somehiw befire end of season but should only ever be a sub imho

If Wilson can't play the Pablo role how does he play the Taty role as they both defend from the front as a pair.

Wilson would have been knackered by 20mons. The bloke is a waste of space. Even against knackered defenders at the end of the game he offered fu k all. Getting a bit tired of people thinking he's the answer after his goal against Tottingham. He's done absolutely fuck all since and pretty much had done fuck all before.

For a team that needed to win we didn't do enough.
Bournemouth had the better chances but we nearly scored from a Wilson flick and Summerville who couldn't put enough on the ball. Solid defence but our forward 3 didn't create enough. Subs were to late. Wilson for Soucek on the hour, on a booking, unaffective in the game and would have like to have seen Kante on ten minutes earlier.
Nuno thought 1 point was enough otherwise he would have put Traore on if he rated him so much.Baffling.

The 3 players left out from the Burton game played poorly work that out.

Nuno better get off his lazy fat arse and watch the u21's tomorrow. Can't have 7 defensive players on the bench in a must win game, ludicrous.

Also, having never really seen much of him before I was led to believe that Disasi would be somewhat of a disaster… from what I’ve seen so far he looks a decent player!

Appreciate last night was a missed opportunity, given how well we nullified Bournemouth and the chances we created but fuck me it’s gloomy on here.

3 wins, 2 draws and a loss in the last 6 league games? Carry that forward into the last 11 and we’ll be fine surely?

They are both awful footballers. Kante gets a bit of a pass as we picked him up as a youth for next to nothing. But these idiots shelled out nearly £30 million for Magassa. A total waste of money and ridiculous signing given he is an awful footballer.
We paid 17.3 million for Magassa. He had an OK game yesterday.

I thought 30 million was a bit much, but 17 million is about the going rate and he has every chance of improving.

Right about loser Lop, right about pathetic Potter, right about Benrahma, right about Paqueta, right about Fernandes, right about Summerville needing an end product. Yeah, how embarrassing!
You forgot Todibo the useless reject who you also think was the key to us winning yesterday..

Trying to spin it how you're right about Summerville who will never be more than championship level...

I'm looking at Villa away.

It sounds like I'm nuts but Kamara, McGinn and Tielemans who are their first choice midfield are all out for the rest of the season.

Hmmm 🤔

Taking this game in itself.

The cherries were a high energy, speedy direct team with no end product. We defended like warriors in a way that was completely missing for quite a long time. Now, obviously, we needed to score like we have been doing for quite some time and we just didnt have it, which is a real shame as the four points lost in the last two games would have had us right in amongst them.
get the scoring boots back on and kep at it. The defence could just help is over the line.

He should have gone with the logical team I predicted he would have gone for. We would have won if he had done that.

Magassa must never start for us again. Terrible footballer.
You're trying way too hard, so you wanted the negative coward Nuno (your words or close) to go more defensive by picking the Barca reject championship level centre back Todibo (again your words) and this would have won us the game.. Hilarious

Bore off, stalky. You or you mate reckon there were 30k there again yesterday?

We are comfortably a top 10 side right now and it's going to be gut wrenching if we go down and to see the squad stripped bare.

This is pretty much how I feel. We're in a place now where we're competing together toe to toe with the top form sides in the division, but have dug such a big hole that we'll likely go down regardless.

Just have to hope that somehow it's still possible on the last day to win and stay up.

Bowen is knackered, hence his down turn in form, but is 100% focussed on getting more knackered to keep us up.  That came from a close relative of his, who I cross paths with from time to time.

He been carrying a knock? He does at times look miles off it (for his usual high standards) and wasn't good at all last night. Not that I expect him to do it all the time anyway. You can't ever blame him at least for busting a bollock for the cause.

He's finally done better since then starting with Spurs to his more recent credit yet we are still having to beg for other Teams to keep slipping up as we fail to capitalise on good opportunities ourselves when presented them. Today's games are no different when really we should have put the squeeze on all Teams above us anyway. Leeds have managed to dig themselves out and we cannot keep expecting Teams to be as dogshit as Spurs have been all the time trying their level best to go down instead of us.

It's still not terminal yet but we don't help ourselves when given the chance to apply serious pressure.

Potter, Nuno and The Clowns, for me. Sounds like an obscure shit music band from the 70's just to rub insult in to injury.

The simple reality is if Nuno was here at the beginning of the season we wouldn't be going down. I won't even bother to read you attempting to rebut that simple fact, but off you go anyway.

Manuel wrote: 22 Feb 2026, 06:27 Yesterday was a real case in point as to why we are struggling and will likely go down. While we didn't play badly, Bouremouth were below par and the game was there for us to win, but we couldn't do it. Just lacking that quality. Can't blame the ref/var, can't blame anyone else. A side with more about them would have nicked that 1-0.

Why is it that every time we play a team and they don’t batter us people say things like “they were below par” but never give us credit for making them “below par”?

it’s how you play against teams that make them play shit isn’t it? In the form table it’s Man U, Chelsea and Bournemouth, then us. We have been competitive in all of these games yet for some reason when we play these teams they are not their usual self, and we should have beat them. Ffs, can’t you see we are doing that to these teams?

I know we need the points, that’s the reality. But at least give us some credit for making these teams work their arses off to even handle us.
