Are you a Putin apologist???
He started this war thinking it would be over in month or two
How the fuck is it possible in our power to stop Russia???
Choose not to stop this slaughter??
Sorry mate your views are sickening and come across as another Putin apologist
Yep we are key player. Ukraine can only fight with western funding of which we are one of the biggest contributors. If we stopped funding them, they wouldn't be fighting and both Ukrainians and Russians would stop dying for nothing.

This conflict has a long history stretching back a couple of decades and if you choose to oversimplify it by portraying the war as the West and Ukraine sitting around minding their own business until a belligerent Russia decides it wants to attack out the blue then there's not much point engaging with you. However, if you have some serious, non-shouty rebuttals to critiques of the west's actions in the decades preceding the war from people like Professor Mearsheimer, I am all ears.
All ears but nothing between them

He really should be as they have also backed them and it'll take Trump to help finish it. If it didn't heavily involve him and the US then they'd be in serious trouble.
The US? Yes.
Trump? No.

Trump is the one who publicly humiliated Zelenskyy and is pushing Ukraine to give up land.

He humiliated himself by his argumentative carry on as a guest of another Nation trying to help him out.
Seriously?!
Trump and Vance laid into him from the start.
This is a man who is still on Putin's hit list and was at the very top when Russia invaded.

This is not the point you think it is. We are doing them no favours by supporting them in this war. They won't win it, and they will lose hundreds of thousands of husbands, fathers and sons before it's all over and they will have gained little for it. The only countries that stand to gain are the western European countries. We are losing zero men in this war and we weaken an adversary expending money and people fighting it. If we had an decency we would stop funding it and save untold families on both side the heartache of losing their loved ones. It's a selfish act by us, not a gallant one.

It’s amazing that they have kept the Russians at bay for 4 years
I think Zelensky has been very fulsome in his appreciation of British support
Not so keen on the US who seem to want him to give up territory , minerals & resources so that Trump can parcel them out with Putin

Let’s not be mealy mouthed about what the “West” did in the time up to Putin’s invasion the fact of the matter is that a virtual dictatorship has invaded a democratic country and holds a significant amount of territory. Putin was under no military threat whatsoever from Ukraine or NATO but as a nuclear power he holds a card that limits how far fellow democracies can go in supporting Ukraine.

The bloodshed, the shocking waste of life, can be brought to and end by Putin he holds the key to this.

I do admire their bravery and ability to keep fending them off. I also believe they owe the UK a lot of gratitude as well in helping them out with the kit and money to combat them. Without those like us that have helped out greatly they'd have zero chance and the war would have been won by Russia long ago. All the power to them though, like the Ukrainians.

Wasn't Russia supposed to guarantee Ukraine's security in return of the nuclear missiles that were based there after the fall of the Soviet Union?

Hard, brave fuckers the Ukranians. Massive respect for them to stand up to a far greater power for so long and not give in when it would have been easy to crumble. They've suffered hardship most of us will never even dream about.
