Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Without a crystal ball it's really hard to say what we will need, in one way there isn't a long way to go but in another way there is. What worries me is that we lose to both City and Villa and maybe 3+points adrift again, and then it's back to the absolute must wins.

Last night puts us firmly back in the mix.
Four more wins will do it, maybe 3 and a couple of draws?

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
It is making for an exciting end to the season TBH, the last few seasons by this time we are all but safe and those last games don't really mean a whole lot except final position, not going down and an outside shout of Europe which we usually fuck up but on the whole pretty drab.
Not sure the relegation battle is what i want on a regular basis...........but will feel good and be punching the air if we stay up, given how we looked a few months ago but that's football i suppose

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
We had to get something at Wolves or we were down after only getting one point from Brighton and Fulham, we got smashed.. Then we had Forest at home and we had to beat them to not have it confirmed in most of our eyes that we were definitely done, we lost.
We then after gaining some ground had to beat Bournemouth or we were gone again and as we didn't definitely needed something at Anfield... Nobody knows or can predict what will happen, nobody had Leeds losing at home to Sunderland or Forest getting a point at City.. The only predictable nailed on certainty wes our result against the victims, but that's out of the way now.
It's going to be a both nerve wracking and exciting end to the season and I'm really looking forward to going to the bowl for the upcoming games.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
No argument that there’s still much to do if we are going to survive. But odd to claim that we can’t win matches when we have won four of the last eight. In the same period, Leeds and Forest have won two and Tottenham zero. The momentum is with us although clearly nothing is guaranteed – past performance/ future results and all that.
My guess is that 41 or 42 points is going to be the survival target. Achieve that and we will end up above one of the other candidates for the third relegation spot. The trouble is results can get freakish in the run-in. Right now, Villa away (if they are still without most of their first-choice midfield) is looking like it could be an easier game than resurgent, under no pressure Wolves at home.
Tottenham v Nottingham Forest on March 22 could be an interesting crossroads.
And worth remembering, 16 of our 28 points have come away from the London Stadium.

Music to every Yiddos ears.
He's panicking already. I'd LOVE Spurs to go down and I think it is now a strong possibility.
if they lose tonight I wouldn't be shocked if they get rid of this chump.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
We are still up against it IMO and are going to be relying on others slipping up as I'm not convinced we have many more wins in us, we just seem to find it difficult to win games of football. We can't lose to City and Villa.
Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Forest have the easier run in on paper. We'll need to pick up points on the road like we did today against the likes of Palace, Villa, Newcastle, Brentford in addition to winning our winnable home games against Everton, Wolves, Leeds. Anything against ManCity or Arsenal will be a massive bonus.
I worry that we got a bit lucky tonight, we were a strung out mess in the last 10 mins, could easily have been a draw on balance

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Tight down the bottom now! with Leeds losing on Tuesday, only 3 points between 4 clubs sitting from 18th to 15th (Leeds) for that dreaded 18th spot.
Lets hope Palace can get something against Spurs, would see them open up a decent gap from15th up to them at 14th but would knock the wind out of Spurs
going into the run in.
9 games to go, on current form we survive, but on fixtures we maybe have the toughest run in, so very much an uphill battle IMO, but at least we have given ourselves a realistic rather than a "mathematical" chance.

As much as it would be “nice” if it continued, I uust get the feeling Spurs will get some luck, a VAR call or somethimg to blag a win. They are too “big” to go down is what my instincts keep reminding me??
Ed Tudor Pole is a bit of a risk on their part...let's hope so anyway!

Yeah Hermanson is superior to 2026 Areola.
No doubt about it.

Points in 2026
West Ham 14
Leeds 11
Forest 10
Spurs 4
That makes me more optimistic. Spurs must be shitting themselves

I don't want to see that t-rex armed little fuck in goal for us again, he's fucking useless. Yeah he's had a couple of clean sheets but they were games with fuck all to do. I think he's fucking hopeless and I want Areola and his stupid fucking hair back between the sticks rather than this fucking child sized scandi dickhead with stunted fucking arms and Jeremy Beadle hands. What the fuck is it he's supposed to be good at? It ain't goalkeeping I'll tell you that. Maybe he makes good fucking fish fingers or something, brings them to training and sells them out the back of his fucking Saab.
You cunts?
You really are a moron aren't you?
Hermansen arguably won us that game against Fulham tonight and he has been in goal for three of our four clean sheets all season, despite playing in far fewer games than Areola.
You've embarrassed yourself there, son.

What you and your brother get up to in front of your elderly mother, isn't really any of our business Vexed, but each to their own.
