Team for Brentford
Must make changes here, can't risk injuries to our key players.
We'll know before kick-off if it's even worth going through.
.............................Areola
KWP.....Mavropanos.....Todibo.....Scarles
Traore.....Magassa.....Kante.....Lamadrid
.............................Soucek
.............................Wilson
Get Pablo on for 20-30mins in the 2nd half.

Yes agree, but can't completely rule it out.

There is no way Bowen, Summerville and Fernandes will start this game.

Re: Team for Brentford
Fwiw, and I'm guessing like we all are, but I suspect Nuno will hedge his bets. I think he values the cups and will want to progress and also understands the fans will do too, plus he will want to keep them some momentum and not just chuck this in the bin, so suspect we will see something like 7 regulars starting. That said, a few of our squad players left in Jan, so not too many options anyway. Expect to see Potts, KWP, Traore, and maybe Scarles getting a start. Hopefully not Kilman.

Re: Team for Brentford
Winning breeds winning
Full strength with maybe Potts getting a run after his suspension
Is Pablo close to fitness?
Would play him & Taty & save Wilson for his late bench role if he is fit

Re: Team for Brentford
Areola
KWP Mavro Todibo Scarles
Magassa Orford Potts
Traroe Taty Ajala
Easy.
Mavro had a rest as has Todibo
Traroe last chance saloon.
Orford over Kante by a country mile,Magassa and Kante are to similar, their combination didn't work against Burton. Ajala deserves a start over LaMadrid plus is scoring and assisting for fun. LaMadrid hasn't done anything to deserve a start, can come on for Traroe if the latter fails again.
subs.
Herrick.Asassi,Myers,Kilman,Kante,LaMadrid,Summerville,Wilson,Bowen.

We have always looked sluggish coming back from an international break or an uninvolved cup weekend so I think I'd rather take the risk and keep pushing on.
ironsYep, no changes for me 4-4-2
Hermansen
Wan Bissaka, Todibo, Disasi, Diouf
Bowen, Soucek, Fernandez, Summerville
Taty, Wilson
But that clearly isn't going to happen, you oaf. This ain't football manager.

Re: Team for Brentford
Reckon we go full on reserves here:
Areola
Mavropanos. Kilman. Mayers
KWP. Magassa. Potts. Scarles
Kante
Traore. Wilson
At one point or another 8 of those have been first choice, so it's not exactly throwing the kids to the wolves, but you'd be surprised if they got a result.Mavropanos. Kilman. Mayers
KWP. Magassa. Potts. Scarles
Kante
Traore. Wilson

Re: Team for Brentford
Lovely if Pablo is ready to make an appearance.
Strongest team available but sadly I am not sure it matters. Those cunts almost always seem to have our number.

Re: Team for Brentford
Nah fuck it go for it with full strength as we seriously have outside chance of winning this along with Leeds/Brentford/Fulham/Sunderland
But now the dosh counts and talks so Premiership survival will mean rested players

Re: Team for Brentford
I won't bother playing let's all guess the team, but as unfortunate as it is no way we can go full strength. We will still have a chance though, Brentford have shit cup pedigree and were apparently woeful last night.

Re: Team for Brentford
We can't risk Summerville, Bowen and Fernandes for this so they should all start on the bench.
I guess it would be Castellanos up front, Soucek, Magassa and Kante in midfield. Lamadrid and Traore on the wings and Scarles and Walker-Peters in for Diouf and Wan-Bisaka.
Areola will probably play given he has deservedly lost his league place to MADS.
Likely to be Mavrapanos and one of Disasi/ Todibo at the back.
