Can't agree with Nobody 2, his wife saving the day, the two hit girls much stronger than him, just another "Women are better than men" film.

I always thought it was their braces that brought them together, but have watched it back and no braces. Weird stuff. 

Ah, I still enjoyed it regardless. Thought first one was better though.

For me Nobody 2 was just OTT. The first was not so unrealistic with say the coach scene but man no. 2. 

Ok at least Sinners was a bit different or as I have mentioned a bit of From Dusk Till Dawn about it. 

Yea you're right tbf, it was a load of stupid bollocks, but still an OK circa 90 min yarn never to be watched again.

I didn't like Sinners.

Watched a low budget but well  acted film Worldbreaker. I know another Walking dead /28 hours type movie. Its was OK. 

Something totally off the radar I saw was a Russian movie called Kraken about a military submarine and well the title is a give away. Thought it was really good. Stole a few Das Boot moments.

That said I watched Nobody 2 last night and again really enjoyed it.  People say it's not as good as the first but I think it's up there, it just doesn't have the original wow factor of the first, but well worth a watch, far better than any arty farty Oscar winner!

One bit of trivia I stumbled across earlier was apparently Dolly, JAWS girlfriend in James Bond's Moonraker did not wear braces on her teeth!  WTF, I am sure she had braces on her teeth, because I remember Jaws smiling at her, she smiled back, he had metal teeth, she had metal braces, and love blossomed, or that's how I remember it, but nope apparently it's another example of the fascinating Mandella Effect, such examples being  The Monopoly Man doesn’t have a monocle or Darth Vader doesn’t say, “Luke, I am your father” and now Dolly didn't wear braces!

Proper well made Films to me are Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Alien, The Dark Knight, Pulp Fiction, Green Street Hooligans. Now all we tend to get served up is endless mindnumbing woke agenda driven wank that makes you want to avoid going to see flicks on the big screen any more.

Probably said it before but the last Oscar winning film I watched was probably the excellent Spotlight back in 2015.  Moonlight, The Shape of Water, Green Book, Parasite, and all other winners since I read what they were potentially about and have no interest in any of them..  I have had three goes at finishing Oppenheimer and whilst it's ok it's painfully slow, suspect I'll finish it one year! I watched Sinners out of interest, it was ok but must say I enjoyed From Dusk Till Dawn far more.  From early to mid 2000's it's been a bit shit especially when you look at the quality of nominees and winners in the 70's for instance.  In Russell Crowe speak "was I not entertained?" er no.... now I just feel preached to.

Watched Devil in the Dust

Slow in places, but I enjoyed it and its got a good cast, just ignore the metaphor for what the girl represents.

I finally got round to watching I Swear tonight. Funny as fuck and also very touching. Some superb acting too.
It also reminded  me of WHO ...the best and the worst.

Well enjoyed Family Plan 2 as well, a rarity with a sequel.  These sort of films always seem enjoyable, "Red" with Bruce Willis and "Nobody" although still waiting for the sequel to appear on platform.

Anyone seen Brothers (2009 film) starring Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal & Natalie Portman.  I'd never come across it but a clip is on X and it looks fairly brutal.  Only available to rent and buy on platform so wondering if it's worth £3.49?

Has anyone seen Giant - the biopic of Prince Nazeem Hamed. I thought it was fairly entertaining, even though Pierce Brosnan is a bit shit as Brendan Ingle and the actor who played Frank Warren thought he was in a Guy Ritchie film.

Yeah just not my humour, plus I still haven't forgiven him, Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson for destroying my favourite TV series as a kid with their disaster of a Starsky & Hutch film.  Cringe doesn't cover it.

Enjoyed Family Plan (especially Michelle Monaghan), just realised that her and Wahlberg also played a married couple in "Patriots Day".  Going to watch the sequel tonight, it's just a fun watch.  Cheers for the heads up re Slow Horses, although I'm not a fan of Vince Vaughn.  Saw Game Night on a flight back from somewhere and it wasn't bad.  Bateman has done some decent comedy.  Paul (2011), The Switch (2010), The Change-Up (2011) all good fun.

I'll give it a swerve then.  Thought 28 Days Later was a very good film, two decent enough, three "meh" I think they say, and was going to have a look at 28 Years Later until I read a review of the Bone Temple and it reminded me of that awful horror years ago called the Green Inferno or something like that and not into that Eli Roth type of garbage!

Pretty sure I have mentioned this before but if you like Alan Ritchson The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is a great fun film I thought. Henry Cavill is in it as well.

I've just taken out a free weeks trial of Apple TV via Prime as I saw a trailer for The Family Plan with Mark Wahlberg, along with it's sequel.  It looked entertaining enough and some of Wahlbergs films are usually a decent watch.  Apple also had Tom Hanks The Greyhound as well so will have a look at that as well.

I watched the Family Plan on a flight a couple of weeks ago, it's an ok watch.

Watched Game Night as well with Jason Bateman and it had a few proper LOL moments.

Yeah The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly warfare was good. The Greyhound is also very good. You will get Slow Horses of course which is top stuff and try Bad Monkey with Vince Vaughn.

watched War Machine last night. Was OK. I do like Alan Ritchson especially as Jack Reacher. But he was best in Blue Mountain State . Hilarious stuff .

Just watched it, Swiss.  Never heard of it before your mention.  A fun watch and a great example of how you don't need a massive budget to make an entertaining movie.
