The Millwall Promotion Thread
Currently one point off an automatic promotion spot.
It'd be good having them in the PL innit?
Provided we stay up, obvs.
Would liven the place up a bit.

Re: The Millwall Promotion Thread
I like Coventry because we beat them in a League Cup semi final & 9-0 in the FA Youth Cup final
Millwall & Lampard in the Premier League & us not would be unbearable
Getting a Championship team promoted is what Lampard should have done with Derby & looks like he is doing it with Cov
Never should have got the Chelsea job or even Everton
Been a good week for him. Believe his wife ran third in the Cheltenham Gold Cup

Yeah I quite like Coventry, always remember them for that donkey free kick with Willie Carr and Ernie Hunt and as well as Jimmy the Chin.

The top two, Coventry and Boro, both fail to win their early kick off ; good crowds though

Re: The Millwall Promotion Thread
The Championship has QPR, Charlton & if you class them as London Watford
Even without Tottenham the PL has us, Chelsea, Arsenal , Brentford , Palace & Fulham
I think us and Chelsea & even Arsenal would be classed as high risk games

Re: The Millwall Promotion Thread
Faux, it would still be the same number of London derbies, as spuds will be going in the opposite direction!

Re: The Millwall Promotion Thread
We have played them 94 times since 1899 9 of which were when they were called Millwall Athletic
We haven’t played them for 14 years and I doubt anyone could name any of their players
They are in the playoffs at least and on form a decent chance for automatic promotion behind Coventry
I think most would welcome their promotion only if it meant we played (and beat them h & a) next season.
The police will obviously be dreading them coming up given our games & the number of London derbies
Trying to police the open spaces around London Stadium will be a task

Although West Ham have always been in East London,we were never based in the actual East End. For old cunts like me who originate from that part of the smoke, it was always a fact that we found irksome at times
Our club were founded by Thames Ironworks in Trinity Buoy Wharf which is the old East End (west of the River Lea). So both clubs originated in the East End rather than East London.

Re: The Millwall Promotion Thread
Forget noon K.O. times to try and prevent us from kicking off with each other in the Premier League, they'll be demanding it be played at 4am in the morning behind closed doors.
I can't fucking wait to see it should we manage it next season.

Re: The Millwall Promotion Thread
It is a very unique derby taking into consideration how hostile it remains. In professional football from 1919 onwards we've only ever coincided in the same division 12 times. So that's 24 matches. Most of the rest were in the London Cup/Southern League and others way before that.
The official match total is around 100

For my entire lifetime, spurs have just been a laughing stock with deluded shit fans where as millwall have been millwall, cunts.
As a man who'd like relegation to get away from the cսnt that is VAR and to play our ACTUAL rivals, would be fucking typical if the cunts got promoted when we went down.
You would like us to be relegated? That must be one of the weirdest thing I've ever read. So you want us to lose today, and don't bother saying you don't as clearly you do. How fucking odd.

You can only have a meaningful rivalry with a club you play against and Millwall are never good enough to do this except for the odd cup match or in one of our rare relegation years.
They are though our most hated club, which is not quite the same thing. How come I always look out for their results then..?
It's always been Wall above all others for meFair enough. It's not for me to tell you what to think..
I don't ever look out for there results, though when I do see they've lost, it always gives me a warm glow. So I despise them without really giving a shit about them.
For instance, should Tottenham get relegated, I will laugh my tits off. Last time Millwall got relegated, I was sort of amused and definitely pleased, but didn't reach any level of pure joy because they are a tiny, shit club who were always going down.
It's probably an age thing. Without meaning to be condescending, would I be right in thinking you are under 40?
