they fucked it. All by themselves.
and the rest of the game was played out fair and square.
if anyone wants to talk about precedents being set after a game then you’ve got Henry’s handball, maradonas hand of god etc etc
where will it end?
the difference between var and red cards given wrongly etc is that they at least give the other team an opportunity to respond on the pitch to whatever ruling has happened. To get rulings overturned after the event is just not sport.
we didn’t get relegated after the tevez thing. We got fined or whatever but that was that.
fine Senegal sure. But ultimately if the ref didn’t stop the game that’s that.Something being missed in a game, is completely different to a team walking off the field to a decision they don't like and the Ref not following the rules correctly and awarding the game to Morroco
This will now stop teams walking off and refusing to come back on till they get their own way in the future, had this been allowed to slide, how many other teams would have done this? It would make VAR look quick and easy.
Fuck the lot of them anyway, backward continentWell if the ref did his job then it wouldn’t have happened. Not only did he give a disgraceful decision and doubled down on it, he could have said the game was forfeited then and there. It was up to him.
As for the continent shit… well at least we dont have a pdf file and convicted sex offender running a country starting wars every two seconds. Rather be backwards than that shit.. but whatever floats your boat.
Yeah that's exactly how I was thinking, fuck Africa and go paedo's, you fucking weirdo.

Nah I agree the North Africans are a step above, must be something to do with bordering the Mediterranean as Spain Italy and Turkey are cut from the same cloth

Re: African Cup of Nations
I think this is a clear example of how much power the games administrators have acquired down the years and are now using it to fulfil their own agenda(s).
Administrators should be at the behest of the participants of the games, not dictating the way competitions are configured & played/financed.
Cart...Horse, Horse...Cart. Just like that. Not like this, like that. A-ha-ha-ha.

Re: African Cup of Nations
I'm conflicted on this. On the one hand as others have stated, retrospectively stripping the title from Senegal and handing to Morocco two months later stinks and sets an awful precedent.
However, on the other hand Senegal should never have walked off the pitch like they did and they rightly should have forfeited the match on the night. Allowing them to win the tournament after such behaviour also set an awful precedent.
I can see this final eventually being replayed sometime in the future after Senegal appeal.

Ok the whole walk off should not have occurred but there were other punishments that would have stopped it happening again. Even if it was to a length of banning them from the next tournament.
Stripping them of the title and handing it elsewhere is more corrupt than anything the Senegal national team done that day. Morocco still got the penalty, they just missed it!But they had to wait 20 odd minutes to take it, not knowing if they were going to take it, who knows if he'd have buried it without all the delay and would it happen.Ok and you feel that deserves stripping them of the title. I dont think it does. Giving the title to another nation with a shit load of asterisks next to it. Pointless.
Well if they had scored the penalty they would have won the game, if the ref had done is job properly and award the game to Morocco as he should have done, they would have won the game... So, yeah.

Here’s a novel idea. To stop any indignation over not abiding by rules, play the game again. Or if neither federation can be asked, share the trophy like the Charity Shield used to do.

Re: African Cup of Nations
Obviously Senegal will appeal but understand the laws clearly state walking off without the permission of the ref is a forfeit
Thats a decision the ref should have taken at the time not allowing the ensuing farce of the 20min delay the Panenka penalty & the Senegal goal
Presumably they will create new medals but any Moroccan would refuse them unless they are a cսnt. I guess that means Aguerd will be first in line
If I was Diouf I’d be telling them to do one if they want his medal back

That's fucking disgraceful and unprecedented. The final act of a tournament which was a corrupt stitch up in favour of Morocco form the start, which was the whole point of the walk off.
There's no way this isn't going further.

The Senegal Federation will have every right to kick off.
What's worse is that ship sinking rat Aguerd will have nicked Dioufs medal off him.

All I saw was black faces in the celebrations...fucking racist cunts
If you ask me England Senegal is far too white black for my liking lacking any diversity. One of the most racist Countries on the planet. There should be no place for white black supremacy. And talk about white black privilege to just walk off the pitch like that when they don't get their own way. As for the sight of displaying all those nationalist England Senegal flags, it sickens me to my liberal core.
#raisethecolours
Funny how that works.
