Guess I’ll start one then.  I was born just too late to see the Apollo missions. Apollo 17 happened just before my 4th birthday so I didn’t see any of them.  I’ve been waiting 50 years to see humans go back to the Moon.

Yeah Soldo was a Vulcan man along with Tiger II tank and Saturn V.

I was once at Cape Canaveral when a shuttle was due to be launched. As so often happened, the launch was aborted with less than a minute left on the countdown.

A few years later I was in Orlando when another launch was scheduled. Lethargy hit me and I convinced myself that it would probably not happen again as I couldn't be bothered to drive to the cape. Inevitably that one took off as planned.

I watched a launch back in 98, we were a mile or so away but still a good view

Quite looking forward to this. It'll be thrilling when the mission comes where we return to the moon. Although I'm sure that orange egomaniac will want something with his name or face on set up there if it's under his watch and there will be some horrible declaration that the moon is theirs or something.

That aside, space travel is magical.

I am just hoping that NASA have everything right on this one. This is the furthest that a manned rocket will fly on a mission.
My family was lucky to be living in Miami during 1969 and I was 3-4.
One my earliest memories is doing a tour of Cape Kennedy and seeing Apollo 11 in the huge construction building a couple of weeks before it took off and the rocket transporter was parked just by it. 
It is one of my very first memories that survived.
