Potts Potts the plodder

Post Mad Ferret »

Not involved today and we win. Has generally been exposed lately as not being up to it.

Soucek far the superior option in the middle.

Would be worth getting rid before the end of the window IMO.

As said the ref had a yellow out which was the right decision
The Burton players swarmed him & shouted at him so he caved
Never seen this ref … another of the endless Northerners (Wigan) who are arrogant cocks
All part of the gay junkie cohort under Howard Webb
Mostly 30 somethings and not one of them admits to supporting Man U or Liverpool
What are the odds of that in England with that sized group?

It was such a weak decision. Had the yellow card out at one point and, as others have said, changed his mind after seeing Burton's reaction.

Basically got talked into it, and it probably occurred to him that it might lead to an upset.

Had enough of weak refs. He wasn't even that far from it.

Yup. Ref was weak and got too into the occasion. Probably thinking he could tell people in years to come ‘ I reffed that’ in the hope of a classic upset.

the sending off, the inexplicable stopping play when we were attacking, the mystical two extra minutes. He was loving it the weak minded prick.

1 game ban isn’t it for professional foul?

Potts has been a positive influence in the last few PL games. Today he simply mistimed a tackle and paid tye price in a game where physicality is now almost outlawed all together . The Burton player made a meal of it as all players do nowadays. But he is one if the few willing to snap into tackles and we could do with more of it imo

His limitation is that he lacks a turn of pace but is already a good PL squad player if not a guaranteed starter every game. Hard to know how much he will improve but he is still what? only 22 ? so doing well and hopefully gets better.

I thought that was dicksie3..?...or are they one and same ?.
I thought the Noble pile on after every game was funny as fuck myself...good entertainment value.
Noble was a seasoned veteran by this time, and he did divide opinions.

I don't find digging out Potts very funny though.
No need for it and not what being  a WHU fan is about.
his first full season really as a regular first team squad member and he's sticking in there imo.
If he's anchoring our midfield in five yrs time in the championship and plodding about, then yea, he will get some stick , like Noble did.
Not now though, give the lad a fair crack ffs

One of the big plusses to come out of the season amongst a sea of shit. Think we have a decent player on our hands with an excellent professional approach to it all. One we can rely on for years to come.

Yep, much, much better.
We created umpteen chances when Magassa was introduced.

We just failed to take them.
We also conceded 1 goal, another that was disallowed, and one that was inches past the post.
We could have won the game 3-0 and you'd still be on here digging out Potts.
