Re: Chelsea vs West Ham | PL | 31.1.26 | Predictions & Match Thread
Sir Alf, I assume you live on a tiny island off the Essex coast, chained to a rock with ravens constantly trying to peck out your eyes. Enough with the doom and gloom! I am going there expecting to win for once. They’ll be tired, we’re on a roll.

Re: Spurs vs West Ham | PL | 17.1.26 | Predictions and Match Thread
Agree with Mex. Going today with no expectations but as fans we are in this for the long haul. I understand and respect those who have found it possible to walk away, to stop following the results and who think of their relationship with the real West Ham as something that is past. But we are an ext...

Saw nothing to make me think we can stay up. But it was a good day out and nice to win. Reckon we’ll do alright in the Chanpionship!

Re: West Ham vs Nottingham Forest | PL | 6.1.26 | Predictions and Match Thread
I have a feeling this will be Soucek’s night (I know, I know). We haven’t exactly been great with the more skilful players who’ve replaced him. It would be good to have someone on the pitch who actually cares.

Re: RIP Alex Van de Weyer - founder of WestHamOnline
The most important thing here is, of course, Alex V and those who knew him and loved him most. I never met him in real life but I interacted with him online and am deeply saddened and shocked by his passing. I’ve also found it really moving and consoling to see so many of the older user names reappe...

Re: RIP Alex Van de Weyer - founder of WestHamOnline
Thank you Alex V for the gift of this strange, infuriating, brilliant community which I’ve been happy to be part of on and off since the early days. Such sad news.

Re: Division 2 Positivity Thread
No tourists. No away support in our end. Sullivan and Brady look like the total incompetents they truly are. Millwall wreck the Olympic Stadium and it’s rebuilt as a football ground. We relate to whatever members of the academy they’ve not been able to flog. Away days in places like Cardiff (edgy bu...
Re: Nuno Out
Like Moyes before him, there’s lots to question about Nuno- he’s stubborn, inflexible, defensively minded and makes odd decisions, then repeats then. But like Moyes, he does seem to know how to make some players better- Todibo for example- they seem to like him and I like his passion. Great to see a...

Re: Nuno Out
Hard to know what’s really going on behind closed doors. Wilson didn’t look too happy though about being subbed. From the moment he scored that header away at Forest we all saw something we haven’t seen at our club for years- a proper Number 9 capable of scoring goals regularly in the Premier League...

Re: AFC Bournemouth vs West Ham | PL | 22.11.25 | Prediction and Match Thread
Definitely rule out Sunderland being down near the bottom. They're on too much of a high and momentum to let relegation be an issue now. Got 19 points already with a positive GD. Everton however could well be looking over their shoulder. Don't find them all that convincing. Massive, I wonder if Su...

Re: Sit-in after Newcastle game
I stayed but it wasn’t obvious what to do. Storming the directors box with drawn sabres was one option. But having been to German football matches where the ‘Ultras’ have loud hailers and choreograph everything I wonder if that would be useful to coordinate the dissent. It didn’t help that the club ...

Re: Who is our worst signing?
I found myself tremendously disappointed in the goal scoring output of ‘strikers’ Jonathan Callieri and Simone Zaza. But the list of disappointing signings is truly awful and shameful to behold.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Older posters here have seen this movie before and know how it ends. The passion and fight of supporters is irrelevant. The pampered, highly paid show ponies who represent us on the pitch have had enough, they just feel sorry for themselves, they can’t wait to activate their relegation clauses. Even...

Re: West Ham vs Brentford | PL | 20.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
I appreciate that Nuno hasn’t got his trusted coaching team around him yet but I’m amazed that no one thought to say of his suggested team, “Are you sure boss?” Just what we need. Another ego on legs who trusts his judgement when everyone else can see it’s mad.

Re: West Ham vs Brentford | PL | 20.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
I think the Carragher comments are helpful. You’re always going to get twerps on the BBC website saying ‘this is what you get for hounding out David Moyes”. Sky put their cameras on Sullivan and Brady. I don’t know what the long term prospects are for the club but they deserve to be in the media’s s...

Re: West Ham vs Brentford | PL | 20.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
I assumed that Nuno would keep it all nice and simple for the dopey bunch we have representing us currently. What was he thinking? Today was a day to go back to basics and to try to find some confidence and cohesion. He seems a smart thoughtful guy but in one game he’s managed to make himself well a...
