Re: International Break Yawn Fest
Think his time with England is numbered. I doubt Bowen will make the World Cup squad as Tuchel doesnt seem to fancy him and to be honest he is playing within himself. I hope he can find some form under Nuno to at least ask the question but unless there are injuries then I think Saka and Madueke are...

Re: West Ham United Women
I look out for their results but from what I've seen they don't have the resources to really compete in the WSL. Weren't the owners trying to get rid of the Womens team to someone? I thought this was Sullivan juniors baby originally? Did he run away or get it taken away for doing a dreadful job? We...

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
Stopped watching at half time so no idea if the second half was any different. I thought we were awful all over the pitch in that first half. It was very Moyes-like. Sitting back, no outlets and pinned in our half. Fernandes caught ball watching for the first and let his man go. We are a team full o...

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
Defending set pieces is key today. We have been shocking at it and Arsenal probably the best in the league currently in an attacking sense. Not sure Nuno can magic a change here in a couple of weeks. I can see Arsenal grabbing a couple from them. It would help if we had a keeper that dominated his ...
Re: Nuno IN
Cant get past the feeling this is another dud appointment. This guy has done the rounds and got good contracts without really achieving much. Still it's going to be hard to attract a good manager to a club that has Sullivan and Brady involved. Good luck Nuno, let's see where we are by Xmas and whet...
Re: Magassa
He doesn't look to know his position, the midfield is overrun. It's why everyone put there looks poor. He does look to have strength and be able to put in a tackle but I think he is caught out with poor anticipation and gets caught ball watching or out of position. Early days for a young player, I d...

Re: What style of play do you want from our next manager?
I want a manager who utilises speedy wingers, keeps the middle of the pitch strong defensively and puts together a team that can defend set pieces and crosses. I don't care for passing it out from the back or passing sideways and backwards to keep possession but neither do I want hoofball. Get it to...

Re: JWP: We need to talk about his seriously poor contribution to the team
I actually thought he was good in that first 20 mins against Spurs but then we ran out of steam and we got untidy and ragged. For years on this forum there always seems to be a player people want to single out for the problems. He alone is not the problem, he's been asked to do a role that doesn't m...

Re: How important is owning the stadium?
I don't care about owning the stadium necessarily - They are expensive to run, have high running costs and are likely loss making. What I do care about is moving from a stadium where it felt like you were part of something that influenced a result to a stadium where it feels like you are an inconven...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread
Cant say I'm impressed by our business today. I'll give Igor the benefit of doubt as I've had to watch Kilman for a year. Have to give him a chance. Fernandes a good addition, Magassa I'm hoping will adapt to the league quickly. Diouf is settling and showing his quality. I hope Summerville and Guilh...

Re: Niclas Füllkrug Subbed
Fullkrug just isnt a lone striker. He feeds off another striker making space for him. Totally isolated yesterday and his touch was off. He looked really sharp playing alongside Bowen in preseason but the Premier League is different level and he just isnt involved enough. He was waving the team up th...

Re: Nott'm Forest vs West Ham | PL | 31.08.25 | Prediction & Match Thread
It's no surprise that when you add a bit of pace that things happen. Great few minutes back for Summerville. Involved in all the goals. Defence much more settled with 4 at the back. Still lack someone directing them but bar a couple of free headers we managed the corners really well. Diouf is a real...

Re: Nott'm Forest vs West Ham | PL | 31.08.25 | Prediction & Match Thread
Well it's been a very defensive performance so far. We have defended better but are too slow or lack runners in transition. I understand playing on the counter if you are the away side but we just look devoid of ideas. Best move came from Lucas coming over to the left. He has been our best player by...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread
Sullivan was always going to sell him as soon as we bought some cheap replacement. Its disappointing. I can see him doing well elsewhere. With so many players supposedly wanting out it tells you all you need to know about the manager and what they think of him and their team mates.

Re: Freddie Potts
I like what I've seen of him, I think he has to play matches. I look at how well Cullen is playing for Burnley and I think Potts is better at his age. He does need to be stronger and improve his anticipation. For a club outside the top spots there has to be a place for him to learn and progress. Jus...

Re: If Potter would get sacked who would you want IN to replace him?
Marco Silva would be my shout. Plays attractive football, is used to having to get a tune out of an average team. Not a chance Sullivan and him would get on. If not him then the Bournemouth manager Iraola as despite being a small fish they constantly perform well in games even if they don't win all ...

Re: West Ham vs Chelsea | PL | 22.08.25 | Predictions & Match Thread
We have been here so many times where we should lose heavily but somehow scrape a result and then go back to losing again. You just can't predict but if you looked at the teams and their qualities, Chelsea should win easily. I think Chelsea will win but maybe not as big a scoreline as they should ha...

Re: Sunderland vs West Ham Utd | PL | 16.8.25 | Predictions & Match Thread
It didnt look any better seeing the highlights this morning. Potter doesnt seem to see that his system isnt working with these players. Or maybe he does but wants to force Sullivans hand to get him some midfielders. Sometimes you just have to change your side to get results. I cant say that I saw a...

Re: Sunderland vs West Ham Utd | PL | 16.8.25 | Predictions & Match Thread
Absolutely spineless performance. Got nowhere near them. Absolutely spanked by a really poor side. Given we are selling several next week if it's to be believed this side is going to be even weaker. This team has been absolutely ruined and has a negative, passive manager. Kilman should be nowhere...

Did anyone think any different seeing that lineup. What a fucking terrible opening fixture against tin pot opposition. The team has offered nothing. Created nothing, looked exposed and slow.

Re: Sunderland vs West Ham Utd | PL | 16.8.25 | Predictions & Match Thread
Real lack of quick progressive passing. It's all slowing it down to keep the ball. Possession in your own half isnt winning a game. We are unable to press and it looks like we are playing 5 at the back the whole game. Wing backs totally ineffective so far.

Re: Community Shield
Thought it was a good watch. Palace deserved their win in the end. I just like the way they set out to play and with players like Eze they have some magic in the midfield. Even Will Hughes when he came on looked really good. They pressed Liverpool, they were able to beat Liverpool's press and play b...
Re: Antonio
He's a character for sure. I think the apparent ego masks the real him. Cant deny he has been amazing for us but really last two seasons he has been poor even before the crash. He was at his best when he could run, take on players and jump for headers. He is just an Akinfenwa now relying on strength...

Re: Lille sold out?
So the moaning can carry on. The positive for me was that Potter did change something and we came back late to grab a draw. It wasn't a great display, the team looked overrun in midfield and unbalanced. Playing 3 centre backs is fine but you have to have them step out now and again to create an extr...

Re: Lille sold out?
Replays were no help at all on that goal but looked like someone wasn't holding the line to keep Giroud onside. Otherwise our cb's just left him criminally unmarked in the box. Wan Bissaka lack of concentration. Defense pushed up to play offside and he carried on tracking his man back. Goo...
