Re: West Ham vs Brentford | PL | 20.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
Its still far too early imo to be predicting a victory at home. Great to see less doom and gloom but 56% saying we will win is mostly good intentioned blind faith and nothing more. Its true we have started defending better ( esp set pieces ) but there is still imo a problem in central midfield. Adde...

Re: Fullkrug Speaks Out
Every thread about football should just be closed as the conclusion for most of them, when we discuss why things have gone wrong with transfers, managers/coaches and players, its usually traced back to Sullivan and Brady’s judgement, meddling, penny pinching, greed etc.

Re: Nuno In
Absolutely stinks of Sullivan. “Penny wise, pounds foolish” is Sullivan in a nutshell. Yet more reasons to get this incompetent megalomaniac as far wway as possible from the day to day running of the club. imo its a team thing. The coaches matter absolutely. Just look at an old example which was...

I see Fullkrug got injured? Injury prone players get ermmm injured
Looks like Marshall might be getting more minutes than even he thought?

Re: McCauley
Just been officially binned on the OS A very short statement reflecting the club’s embarassment? Well you’d hope they would be embarassed especially after Brady’s 100 word recent statement that talked about how the club’s future was being secured by the recruitment strategy of Potter and Macaulay 🤣 ...

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
Yep the games coming up will answer a few questions not this one. Arsenal are imo the best coached team in the division currently and after 7 games look the best team and squad. Liverpool and Citeh stuttering, and Chelsea a bit hit and miss. I was watching that Arsenal midfield Rice, Odegard, Eze a...

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
I counted Marshall, a half a dozen times harassing the Arsenal defenders. On one occasion he nicked the ball off Gabriel by simply being quick enough to challenge before Gabriel could release it. At another point, he caused one of the Arsenal defenders to pass it off the pitch again simply by being ...
Re: Magassa
He looked decent for 30-40 mins in the Everton game but struggled to get on or near the ball against Arsenal. But so did Fernandes and Paqueta and for me it was, yet again, the midfield where we just struggled to compete collectively. So, while Im a bit disappointed that he’s not a bit quicker, he i...

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
Paqueta gives it away too much and wants / needs too much time on the ball in advanced positions. He plays his best football, as he did at Lyon, as a deeper lying number 8. I wonder if he should switch with Fernandes who is the better ball carrier and moves the ball much quicker and less inclined to...

Win 2 or 3 games and you’re in European places contention at this early stage of the campaign. Scoring goals may well be our issue. Heavily reliant on Bowen

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
“The start is better defending & being harder to beat” Yep that was the one positive from yesterday. In hindsight, we might have been better starting KWP on the right and AWB on the left for this one. At this time, with Diouf so young and new to the league, both are better defenders. Most of ...

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
For some added context, Newcastle played similarly to us last weekend. Only 35% possession at home. A few corners though. They scored from one of 3 chances and spent the game with 9 or 10 behind the ball. Arsenal dominated completely. We needed a forward yesterday as a out ball but also, amd cant...

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
Assuming some posters are already wanting Nuno out ( because today thats how he sets up, defend deep and counter if possible just like Moyes and against the bedt teams its 30% possession) where do we go next under these owners? Try getting a controlled possession style manager yet again I guess ( f...

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
To be able to run at teams and “take it to them” you need to be able to either dominate possession and keep it especially in midfield or be able to beat their press and play thru the lines to counter. We could not match their midfield for speed and strength to do either. Thats where they are stronge...

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
One Positive is we didnt concede via a set piece and CBs looked ok. We just couldnt match them in midfield to get possession and had no outlet going forward at all. They have a far stronger squad and more quality and imo will win the title. The result was about right even if their pen was very sof...

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
Paqueta just wants too much time. He and Fullkrug not doing enough. But then Fernandes and Magassa and most the team are struggling to keep the ball and we are simply sitting deep, narrow and trying our best to keep them out. But as stated, we are second to most balls too and have no way to brea...

Re: Arsenal vs West Ham | PL | 4.10.25 | Predictions and Match Thread
We as a club dont have owners with any long term plan. To build a squad to compete with the best takes time. We tried Zola, Pellegrini, Loppy and Potter to try moving us to a possession based game but without the infrastructure ( players, recruitment etc) and failed. We are back with a style of foot...
