Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)

Putin can avoid a war with Europe by not starting one.

Simples.

Re: Billy Bonds, the Guardian .. and me

This is interesting because I listened to the Guardian podcast. I found that, in common with other media articles, it was once again respectful of the player and understanding of the affection us WHU fans held for him. The professional media have not contributed one iota of denigration of Bonds as a...

RIP Bill, you were always the man.

I am lucky to have been able to watch from the beginning to the end of your WHU playing career.

Re: Weekend football

WRT international football tournaments in the future the sticking point for most European nations is when the tournament is held. Qatar  in November 22 was quite the wrong time and hugely disruptive to our fixture programme.

Re: Boxing

This situation does leave Wardley top of a list to fight Usyk with three Brits, Fury, Dubois and Joshua effectively eliminated. Our next fighter beyond Wardley, with  an eventual chance at a world championship tilt, looks to be the youngster Moses Itauma. He needs time to mature though.

WC 26 Tournament will not be worth watching until it’s down to sixteen teams, or maybe even eight.

Re: Could someone please explain......

I underwent a minor procedure this year and this was carried out at a private clinic to which many NHS patients are referred. This is a good way to farm out minor speciality work because it is cheaper for the NHS and it cuts waiting lists. The clinic throughput was up to about 30% of patients being ...

Re: ‘Human safari’: Tourists ‘paid to shoot people.

Poland rat, Gandhi and Willtell ( where has he gone ) were twerps on here but the really big twerps were those that followed the aforementioned trio around.

To this day I don’t think the detractors of those three cottoned on to how they were being used for each individual’s entertainment.

Re: Boxing

Roy Jones Junior first came to my attention when he was quite openly and blatantly robbed of Olympic gold  in 1988.  Some boxing finals took place on the last day of Olympic competition in 1988. Jones fought against a South Korean, Park Si Hun, in Seoul and was adjudged to have lost the fight 3-2. I...

Re: Boxing

As it stands after last night’s travesty of a “fight,” where sometimes the crowd whistled in derision of the spectacle, it is unlikely that fans will have their trousers taken down for a best of three meeting of Eubank Benn. So I expect we will be lead down the path of other fights, that take career...

Re: Remembrance Sunday

We attended, as every year, our local service of remembrance. No politics involved, the flags were those of the RBL, scouts, guides, Boys brigade etc. The same as every year and as well supported as ever. When home I opened up this thread and find the same twerps making cheap political points over s...

Worried about this, the more so as Chris Sutton predicts a WHU victory.

Re: Midweek football

In the English football system, from National north/south to the PL, there remains only one team unbeaten in league games.

I went to watch them last night as they drew with Chesham United. Hornchurch have ten wins and five draws so far topping the National league south table.

Re: Will Still sacked

It’s the media training that as gank point as out is at fault. Pre and post match interviews are contractual requirements in most case now full of empty and meaningless words, the bland leading the bland. Not like the days of SirFerg where his interviews, especially after a defeat, were eagerly awai...
