Re: What’s it gonna take?
It's highly unlikely that anyone other than an American consortium or a Gulf state would buy the club and have the clout to make a big difference. If they did, why would they invest serious money in the ground even if the deal included ownership of the stadium? We'd all prefer a stadium like Evert...

odd one, nuno. as a person i really like him, i like what he says, he's earnest but not a pushover. none of that condescending moyes arrogance or limp potterisms, i even generally like the fight he's put into the team and his general ideas about the game. i don't even mind the batshit lineups he's ...

Re: What is the point of Kretinsky?
"Purely an asset in his portfolio that he wants to see appreciate over the long term with zero personal investment." So where did the £125 million that Kretinsky put into the club via a share issue in 2021 come from? Somebody esle? Kretinsky invested money with the expectation of a return...

Re: Could someone please explain......
A major reason is that both paracetamol and ibuprofen quickly turn into fairly dangerous and then lethal drugs if taken in quantities that could easily be assembled if there were no limits to what you can buy in one go. The theory goes that many spontaneous suicide attempts will happen using tablet...

What does this 'civil war' that the far right clamour for look like? Who are the 'enemy'? Is it advocating the return of random paki bashing, burning households of non white people, shooting up mosques and other gatherings of non whites or what?

Re: Sit-in after Newcastle game
It'll be as embarrassing and pointless as the Brentford 'boycott'. That was reported on Sky as supporters staying away as the team is at the bottom of the league. A sit-in after a game is unlikely to get mentioned on Sky unless there are many thousands of rowdy supporters. Even if there are, doe...

Re: As I said Sacking Potter wasn’t the answer
We had a 4 year spell where our average finishing posion was 9th, we had 3 good runs in Europe, we won a cup and we finished above Everton every season.
The next 2 seasons we're below Everton and heading towards relegation.
Is there a common denominator?

Re: Who should be next as manager?
Does anyone think we would be in a worse situation if Moyes had been given another two years? It would be very similar. We avoided the drop the season we won the Cup because Rice was still here. He was the difference (along with Bowen of course) that meant we stayed up. Where did we finish in the ...

Re: How important is owning the stadium?
Maybe one day an owner will come along with serious dough and build exactly what we want, or there'll be a world cup and a new proper football stadium built in London that will be available to rent. And we'll just give the keys to the bowl back and fuck off. I know no one likes the current set up ...

Re: How important is owning the stadium?
The poxy athletics track that we can't get rid is a reason we need to own the stadium. how does that make a difference - event if we own the place we literally need to knock down and rebuild, at least partially To get the seats next to the pitch, the playing surface would need lowering in order to ...
