Re: Why have so many posters left this site?
Stubbo I think you've done an excellent job on setting the site up. It looks excellent and is easy to use as well as having a lot more features. I certainly appreciate it. Modding forums/fora is not easy and its time consuming. Gank was right, WHO phase 1 was the best in terms of moderation, even...

Re: Why have so many posters left this site?
Any thoughts? You won't listen, but.... A thread has a title, if its political or has political content or music or 18th century theatre, posters can choose to post or not on that topic. The temptation is to listen to people who complain that content is there, instead of letting them post where th...

Re: Why have so many posters left this site?
I'd not only bring him back, I'd have gopnik themed posts and some bench teknik music as backing. He was a proper cսnt, but thats what made this site so amusing. A forum, whether its about allotments, football or a mumsnet type site about advanced crochet will always be driven by social and politic...

Re: No to Digital ID
Mike, the digital infrastructure was all put in place during covid. It was rejigged and renamed as Gov.Uk One Login last march by the DGS (digital govt services) which was formed by Camerons govt along with the Behavioural Insights Team. None of this is being directed by a government minister but ...

Re: Should Islam be banned from Europe?
Islam should not be banned, but neither should it have any specially protected status via blasphemy or equality laws. Every other religion should accept the same freedoms, but it should be acknowledged that this is a christian country and we should not allow the funding of mosques and madrassas from...

Re: This place definitely is DEAD these days
It's actually not about that at all. WHO is essentially directed under the Online Safety Act 2023 as a user-to-user service with a primarily UK based user base. You can agree with the merits of that act not...but the site has to operate in line with it. Bottom line. I'm also not the only admin. M...

Re: Iran v Israel
Enriched uranium has quite a big radiation signature, it can be tracked remotely in the kind of quantities they are alleging. The only way to prevent the gamma signature escaping is with huge quantities of lead encasement which is also relatively easy to detect
