Very sad news for Sir Trevor and family.  Nice to see a couple who seemed to genuinely love and care for each other for a very long marriage.  RIP

Re: Liverpool Title Parade Incident

The police have arrested a 53 year old white british man, but its not clear if he was the driver according to the BBC.  Well this would be fairly easy for the police to clear up, wouldn't it?  Looks like the bloke they smashed to the ground and pepper sprayed for trying to get at whoever was in the ...

Re: So where's everyone going on holiday?

Wife and kids are off to Nova Scotia to see wifes sister in August.  I can't join them, had a major operation and artery replaced in my leg this year and long-haul is not recommended until the blood flow is improved and I have an angioplasty booked for next week. I may drive over to Normandy for a f...

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)

Billy The Jay report does need to have its recommendations implemented, but in order to ensure we hold those accountable, we need a public enquiry to expose to everybody how and why these awful crimes were covered up and by who. The abuse is still going on in many towns and Cities across the UK and ...

Christianity is actually on the rise in the west, especially among the younger generations.  Even things like the Latin Mass are seeing increased demand among congregations.

For those trying to watch - the cricfree site is kind of working again but a bit laggy.

I have found a pay site that is hosted in US, let  me know on WHOmail if anybody wants details. Its very good and less than £60 for 12months

Re: The Official Politics Thread (enter at your own risk)

The economic problems in most western countries are structural at heart.  Using MMT to solve them has not and will not work (spend a little less, tax a little more).  Cheap energy, decent paid productive jobs, remove idiotic idealogical barriers in the workplace, stop spunking money on foreign adven...

Had a rescue pup many years ago from londonrebel on here, reported as black lab pups, we called her Ninja. She kept getting bigger and bigger and we were accused of over feeding her.  Turns out she was a labweiler, fantastic family pet much missed.

Nurse I didn't say male circumcision is unnecessary because there are some medical conditions that can be treated by circumcision.  Male and female circumcision are very different medically, have different effects and effect the life of the person its carried out on differently.  I offered my unders...

FFS Nurse, I said in my first post that I didn't see any justification for male circumcision outside of medical need.  You seem to be arguing with me while reinforcing what I originally posted.  As I explained the only reason I posted up the explanation is because a poster or two asked.

Male and female circumcision are entirely different procedures carried out for entirely different reasons and with very different effects on the individuals.

Worth remembering what Putin said when he was interviewed around the time of the US inauguration;

(sic) "They will all moan and groan but soon come to heel and be wagging their tails at Trump's feet".  He was spot on, as you will see.
