Redwing have very small breeding population in northern Scotland. Not uncommon to see large flocks in London parks especially as they congregate prior to return to breeding grounds. Pickle 1243 the lack of self awareness is worthy of academic research as is the fact that goldfinches in my garden go nowhere near the niger seed feeder which they are supposed to get addicted to and demolish the sunflower hearts instead.
