Re: How you end the last season is how you start the next one ...

Threesixty, this is so true!  The season Leicester won the title was preceded by the real threat of relegation until their last 10 games when Nigel Pearson pulled out all the stops.  Their form in the last 10 games was the best in the Prem.  He then promptly got sacked (I think possibly for his son'...

Matt Law article below.. How West Ham United lost their soul Lofty promises were made when the club left Upton Park but haphazard spending and muddled thinking have led to growing apathy At the end of this season it will be 10 years since West Ham United shut the gates of Upton Park forever with vi...

Re: Potter Out

The last 2 times we were nailed on for relegation the club turned to David Moyes who delivered both times.  Can't see anyone who would agree to come to us having what it takes to turn this around.

Re: Potter Out

I will never, ever understand why football club managers are not paid on performance or hired with contracts that contain right to terminate without compensation once a string of bad results has occurred.

Now here is the dilemma.  Does Sullivan put his faith in Potter and spend money OR does he replace Potter first?

Found it mildly amusing to see the disparity in how much effort the BBC puts in to us vs Man U in terms of journalism. The same bloke happens to have written the article for Sesko to Man U and Hermansen to us: Manchester United have agreed a deal worth £73.7m (85m euros) with Red Bull Leipzig to si...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

I wonder if Sullivan is aware of how much he is hated and how actually incompetent he is at running a football club and doing business? I get the impression that he is a bit like a North Korean dictator with a PR team running around him feeding him delusional bullshit views of love and adoration fr...

The FA, as with most things in Britain, is on the slide.  A country that chooses the likes of Cameron, May, Johnson and Truss as Prime Minister deserves the Sweet FA.     Only two of those won an outright majority...so how did the country choose May and Truss? Oh yes, they were appointed by foreign...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2025 | Official Thread

In the C&H article, the following sentence is key “His agent Will Salthouse is playing a key role in securing a deal.” What it does not mention is Sullivan playimg a key role too.  Potter like all his predecessors, obeys his employer or has to resign which he wont. Same with BFS, Bilic, Moyes e...

Incredibly, I agree with Ferret.

The league will once again have a lot of shit on it, and I see us finishing above:

Burnley, Leeds, Wolves, Everton, Brentford.
Bizarre!  Leeds, Wolves, Everton and Brentford will all finish above us.

...and, if they treat Potter like shit in this transfer window then if he has got any self respect he should walk out on the opening game of the season.  Now that would send a message to the board.

Re: Potter Out

What we obviously need is someone who can work with Sullivan and Brady.  Good luck with that.  The closest we've come is Moyes. The reason it is so difficult to achieve is the fact that the ultimate decision on appointments comes down to Sullivan.  In most walks of life a competent manager when face...
