I guess he’s staying, at least until they’ve assessed his fitness.

Getting rid of those that have come to the end of their contracts is the easy bit, shifting the rest of the dross will prove much harder.

Re: Agent Fees

I'm surprised at how much Liverpool have paid over the last year, considering how few signings they have made.
A quick google only showed a keeper (30m), who was loaned back to his club, and Chiesa (12m) plus a handful of youths.

I thought ours would be higher.

Reasonably confident, based on the last two results.
Wouldn't be too upset if we get the same line-up.
2-1 (as I can't see us keeping three clean sheets in a row).

Re: ARTICLE | A Winter of discontent...leading to a Summer of foreboding

Feels like a 10th - 12th level squad.        I don't disagree on the whole, but surely Potters job is to make the squad greater than the sum of its parts? Something which I think he is very capable of doing.  Personally I think that Kudus will be sold in the summer to bring in new recruits in ...

Re: Nayef Aguerd - signed (30m)

I'd let Potter take a look at him, play him in a couple of pre-season friendlies, find out where his head is at, and if Potter thinks he can do a job for us then keep him. If not, sell him on before the summer window closes. As others have said, we need to make sure we've got enough money to strengt...

Re: Official January '25 Transfer Window Thread

Brobbey seems good value at the moment a season where he's had a bit of a downturn in form lowering his price. A bit of a gamble that the downturn is temporary but at 22 a gamble worth taking in my opinion  He's a massive unit with a bit of pace and would give us some presence up the pitch which wo...

Do we know what the asking price is for Brobby?
If it's circa £25m I'd take the gamble.

Our squad has plenty of players who had no premier league experience, and they've all served us pretty well.

Re: Official January '25 Transfer Window Thread

I wouldn't mind Ferguson on loan, providing he's fit enough to play for the rest of the season. If he's not, it would just be another wasted opportunity to improve the squad.
Not sure I would want to sign him on a permanent due to his previous injury record and glass ankles.

Re: Could Spurs get relegated?

Personally I think that every football fan should see their club relegated at least once in their lifetime, suffering is all part and parcel of it. It would put a lot of the current self-entitled whinging into perspective. Unfortunately Spurs won't go down this year, if ever. I hope they keep the au...

Can't see anything other than a comfortable Villa win, unless Potter can perform a miracle.
Our attacking options are weak, and our defensive options are even weaker.

Can't say I'm too bothered, but I know I'll be in the minority. Not overly optimistic of the result, but I'm hopeful that we will see a line-up and a system that suits the players that we have.  Potter may have only had one training session with them, but he will be well aware of where our issues lie. I'm also expecting to see maximum effort and everyone putting...

Interesting that he ducked the question about working with Steidten in today's presser...didn't even say something generic about their relationship but completely ignored it and started talking about his backroom team! Re: Final League Position Prediction

Question for anyone who'd like to answer, based on our current Squad what position should we really be in the League Table?      With our current squad we should be anywhere between 6th and 10th. If we had a proper/suitable striker in our squad we could be 5th to 7th. I think we'll finish about 15t...

Re: Zer Germans win.!

Don't mind this appointment, the FA could have made a worse decision. I'm looking forward to his first team selection to see if he sets us up with players in their proper positions and doesn't try to cram as many number 10's in the starting line up as possible.  One plus from this appointment is it ...
