Thoughtfully with the Notting Hill Carnival upon us, the Met Police are going to set up a couple of safe spaces where women can't get raped, or if they have, have a cup of tea.

Sounds like a blow out from Jake's or The Mocha.

Re: joe royal on tour with Underworld
Is there anyone you could find out why they're doing such an odd thing, joe? It'd be interesting to know. I'm surprised they're not going back to Romford. Oddly enough Karl came up to me when i was sat in the truck and we had a 5 minute conversation, i did ask him why we are doing a stand alone sho...

In his autobiography he said he lent a skint singer the train fare for an audition in London. Singer got the gig and the band became (and still is) one of the biggest rock groups in the world.
He never paid the small loan back.
The singer?
Brian Johnson.

joe royal on tour with Underworld
Well, to call it a tour is a bit of a stretch, show tonight in Audley End, not what i'd call a good fit in a stately home , 2nd date is Helsinki of all places (36 hour ferry crossing) and the last one is the Green Man festival in Wales. Begs the question, why Helsinki only, it's 6k in ferry booking...

Cat. You would probably be surprised how frequently things go wrong in stadium shows. It's usually lighting related but monitors are always giving up the ghost. Joys of lights are as long as the follow spots are working the punters will not have a clue. The follow spots malfunctioned for Metallica...

Re: Glastonbury 2025
You have no idea just how much it costs to organise a festival of this size. The trucks are a grand a day and the tour buses are about 1300. That's just the bit i know about.
To say do it for free with free tickets is laughable.

Re: Glastonbury 2025
I'm here now waiting for 'my' band to finish up at the Park Stage. Had a wander around and the sheer size of the place is pretty impressive. Watched Bob Vylan but that was if out of the 200 odd bands playing today. Wanted to watch Numan but was asleep when he was onstage. Did make me do a wry smile...
