Re: Boxing
In terms of making the weight and being able to carry the punching power one boxer that I recall having some issues was our very own Mark Kaylor He was a tall rangy fighter who campaigned as I remember almost exclusively at middleweight during his prime before stepping up unsuccessfully to light h...
Re: Boxing
Wardley is a pretty limited boxer but an really punch..He was absolutely schooled by Justis Huni until that KO punch. Parker can really box and hits hard as well and should win unless Wardley gets lucky again. Parker that got outworked and stopped by Joyce, outboxed by Anthony Joshua, dropped a...

Massive Attack" wrote: ↑17 Oct 2025, 05:07 Tragic loss losing him so soon. Was one of the good ones in the world. That Mayweather fight in Vegas still pisses me off as I don't think Cortez was being fair and showing bias to Mayweather.
An experienced official showing bias? It doesn't happen. You've told me that.
Re: Boxing
"Clearly lost" "Absolutely robbed" who knows better than 2 experienced Judges with identical cards on the night for Calzaghe winning. 😂 Did you agree with the "experienced" judges on the Jack Catterall Josh Taylor fight? Don't tell me, you need to watch it. Stick to y...
Re: Boxing
Biggest ever fan... what the fuck are you on about? All I've claimed is Calzaghe is the better Boxer with a record that stands up and had fuck all left to prove. And even going back over the war of the world's bout (funny how I remembered that along with Reids djing on the side..) as it's been over...
Re: Boxing
Council Scum seems to think he knows better about judging than 2 experienced Judges on the night in favour of Calzaghe winning. The English Judge was the only Judge who had Reid up by 5 points even with a docked point! So out of the 3 scorecards, his was the most questionable. Not a chance in hell...
Re: Boxing
"Clearly lost" "Absolutely robbed" from the forum Boxing expert. 😂 Well one judge gave it to him with him losing a point ... so one judge had him wining convincingly, most (not all) experts had him winning, it's well known both were Frank Warren fighters and Frank (rightly) ...
Re: Boxing
On my lunch break and finally been able to get round to watching it.. At least 3 of the first 4 rounds to Calzaghe. Even from the very 1st round Calzaghe had marked Reid on his left cheek needing work on it. Reid holding on to Calzaghe a lot, even to the point at one stage of grabbing his leg ffs! ...
Re: Boxing
It's obvious you didn't even know bout the second fight between Leonard and Hearns, which is surprising seeing as you are such as self proclaimed expert. I said Hearns won the fight but don't take my word for it, Here's a clip of Sugar Ray Leonard saying it himself, unless of course you know more a...
Re: Boxing
Oh no, I'd seen it all those years ago just not recently and wanted to see how 1 sided it was the way you've banged on about it like it was clearly a robbery. Without watching it back yet my memory of it was of a good contest but ultimately it was Calzaghe that proved he was still the winner that n...

Re: Boxing
1 is more extreme and short term weight loss compared to the other. You managed to dig out this fight online then so we can all have a butchers at this apparent clear winner robbery of Reid? Ok great, so one is extreme and banned, the other isn't. Here you go, figured you'd not seen it as everyone...

Massive Attack" wrote: ↑15 Oct 2025, 16:02 Cutting weight is more dangerous than gaining weight for a fight. Thought that was common knowledge.
Cutting weight and dropping weight are two different things. You know how to do a weight cut, right?
Re: Boxing
I disagree with you about Ruddock, he could fight and he could hit. I think you’ll find Hearns fought Leonard twice, First fight Leonard caught him late on after Hearns was putting on a show and was ahead on points on all 3 judges scorecards, the second fight Hearns put Leonard on the canvas 3 time...
Re: Boxing
Couldn't give a fuck if it matters to anyone or not, Calzaghe still convincingly beat Jones Junior in his own backyard at a time and place that was notorious to win out in the States and at the home of boxing, on top of the rest of his career at the top. Which is why your opinion is stupidity. Wel...
Re: Boxing
It's not stupidity when he's never been knocked out, never lost, held world title for 10 years straight, first to unify 3 titles at Super middleweight and even beat Jones Junior himself in the States at Madison Square. Whenever you look at lists of greatest fighters of all time, Joe doesn't get a l...
Re: Boxing
Calm down, dear FFS. You have your opinion and I have mine, it's all good. My 'good' that's triggered you in regards to Jones is being 1 rung down from Calzaghes level. As for research, I've been watching boxing since the 80s. Saying Roy was one rung down from Calzaghe, isn't opinion, its stupid...

Re: Boxing
I never said easily, I loved Calzaghe as a fighter, not taking anything away from him. He was brilliant, and in their primes, would've been a great fight, but only one winner at the end for me. RJJ could be the most talented boxer that ever laced up a pair of gloves, up until he fucked about with t...
Re: Boxing
I think Razor Ruddock was the best fighter Tyson faced when he was in his prime. Holyfield did too many Roids but I will give him his respect he had heart and a great chin, his fights with Bowe were some of the most brutal rounds of boxing I’ve seen. A prime Duran beat up a prime Leonard as Did ...
Re: Boxing
I do think Tyson’s record and reputation is talked-up a little. But he did beat some decent heavyweights. He beat Holmes convincingly, albeit a long-retired version of Larry Holmes. But he also beat Tucker (previously undefeated) and Bonecrusher Smith, both of whom were canny, tough fuckers who kne...

There are loads of West Ham sites on Facebook, most use those now a days
Re: Boxing
Prime Tyson is a myth for Fanboys only. Tyson was a bully, Holyfield was one of the hardest men to ever put on a pair of gloves. Leonard beats any version of Hagler, Christ Leonard had fought once in 5 years and Hagler hadn't lost in 11 years, if anyone wasn't in their prime its Leonard. Holmes de...
