NFL (since 2016)
"Free agency started last night and was pretty crazy some huge money being spent. Osweiler getting £18m a year for the Texans, leaving the Broncos without a QB, Giants have spent a fortune on good but not great players, Oliver Vernon has more guaranteed money than JJ Watt. lots more deals but cant be bothered to list them all."

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Sadly for the Broncos, it was a done deal before they even kicked off without Nix, that Stidham is absolutely useless.
Bit like us last week, when certain players are out in the NFL its literally impossible for teams to be competitive even if scoreline's make it look like games are closer.
Seahawks will piss all over the Pats if that's all they've got offensively.

Whichever way the wind snows eh.
Of course it's lucky but keep telling yourself otherwise. To have a very slender lead just before the weather turns awful. That's indisputable.
And the opposition's starting quarterback going down in the last moments of the divisional round game is an enormous slice of luck. If Nix plays Denver win that- no question. Given how close it was anyway with Stidham there. And I'd have said exactly the same were it the Texans playing Denver.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Really pleased for Sam Darnold.
The Jets were too quick to ditch him and, funny enough, he's shown that the franchise was a bigger problem than he was: we failed to coach him properly (as we did with Smith and Wilson, although the latter didnt help himself with his ridiculous attitude) and build a team around him. The kid had talent and we drafted him as a 20-year-old, which was very young. Needed to be patient.
He also got ditched too quickly by the Vikes.
Now he's going to the super bowl before either side.

Luck my arse...ground it out in a gaff where the pats have always struggled.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
I like Vrabel. He’s a proper coach and I wanted him last year for the Jets (before New England made their move).
Naturally, I want the Seahawks or Rams to turn them over in the Super Bowl, though!

Re: NFL (since 2016)
I absolutely loathe the Patsies.
But they’re a well-run organisation. The antithesis of the Jets. They know what a winning culture looks and feels like (so they knew what was needed when they sacked a HC who didn’t get it), they set high standards internally, they invest in facilities and scouting, and they draft well. They’re also ruthless when they want to sign people.
Until yesterday, we had a running back as QB coach.

I like drake maye and don't mind vrabel, but I've always immensely disliked those cunts. maybe it's because of the strange owner? belichik, of course was always the most unlikable cսnt ever, but there's something odd about kraft

Watching on a dodgy stream because its still far less painful than watching Dermot O'leary for free on Channel 5.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
Talking of the weather (as we were earlier), Denver is now having a sleet/snow storm. Proper American football weather, this!
Re: NFL (since 2016)
Never know in sport, but be very surprised if either of these teams can beat the seahawks or rams in the SB.
So more superior offence wise with the seahawks also having an excellent D which is probably where the rams lack a bit.

Roofs are for numpties when it comes to any form of football.

Re: NFL (since 2016)
It does make a difference. When the Dolphins rocked up to Arrowhead in the play off to property American frexxing temperatures and a howling gale they could not cope at all.
No that they really had a chance but the weather nailed the coffin lid down.
