You struggling with the difference between international and domestic football?

Why not have it every year? Or fuck it, have it every 6 months, and their countries can pay their wages.

International football tournaments should be every 4 years. It will always be seen as 2 bob being what it is now, watched only by you and Rio Ferdinand.

Ok let's hold the FA Cup every four years as well. We'll ask the Saudis if that's ok seeing as it's nothing to do with them and that seems to be the rules on here.

I'm inclined to agree, however, I am sure someone has worked out that the revenues and commercial appeal of both tournaments would probably suffer. If they can squeeze both in, one after the other, in one summer that makes a lot of sense.

It's not about the tournament existing, good luck to them.

The point is, why every 2 fucking years? It will always be seen as 2 bob unless it's every 4 years, like every other proper football tournament that exists.

That is true. One fucking stupid mickey mouse tournament impacting another stupid mickey mouse tournament.
Theirs isn't Micky mouse is it, they're entitled to have a tournament like we're entitled to have Euros, the club one definitely as just another way to make the rich clubs richer.
Ah stop spoiling my fun with actual logic and facts! I do agree they are entitled to the tournament and it's important to them but I do feel it should be standardised at every four years if possible and not clash with anything else although that's not their fault in this instance. I guess it must be a real money spinner for someone, to have it held every two years. I suspect a lot of brown envelopes get passed between government and federation officials.

Their attempt to move it to summer was very sensible as well. Thank fuck this stupid meaningless cash grab club world cup is only once every four years. It just needs to not be held in the same years as AFCON.

So the European Championship is fine but the African Championship isn't okay, and Europe should dictate how often they hold it? What an entitled view! If your issue is that you lose your African players for a load of games, maybe English clubs shouldn't sign African players.

Not long ago we had people on here saying smaller European nations shouldn't have the opportunity to try to qualify for the World Cup by playing qualifiers against other European nations. The same spastics who opposed the European Super League.

Should be every 4 years

They also need to play it on decent pitches, wasnt the last one only a handful of the group games went over 2.5 because the pitches were so shit neither team could string two passes together.  was an absolute shambles

To encourage all the detritus the continent has exported to Europe to stop raping  women for a month and return home with their benefit cheques to boost the economy?

Agree. It's mental having it so frequently, and in World Cup years. Don't understand why it can't be mandated to be each four years like the Euros, especially as it obviously can't be held in the middle of an African summer.

Probably wouldn't care if it didn't affect us but it's a substantial chunk of the season. Hopefully AWB will be back reasonably soon but Senegal will probably go deep into the competition so Diouf will probably miss all those matches. Got to hope neither pick up a significant injury either.

Could be an idea to not sign African players and actually give our youth a chance.
