Re: Shoplifting.
Fare evaders also seem to be able to do what they like without any fear of being challenged. Every day I see numerous people pushing through the barriers as if it is their divine right with very often TFL staff standing watching.

Re: Shoplifting.
More alleged information is emerging. Now it seems what also occurred before the violent confrontation is that the woman left behind what she did not want but was stopped on her way out with goods to the value of her original unwanted purchases.

Re: Shoplifting.
I used to drink in the same pubs as a fella who used to shoplift on a regular basis just for sport. He would very often come in with various goods he had pilfered from the likes of Debenhams M&S and Superdrug. Removing packs of Mac3 razorblades from under his baseball cap and a nice bit of fillet steak from inside his jacket he would then put his I'll gotten gains on the bar like trophies I can't recall him ever getting caught and very often he would just give the stuff he didn't want away There was even talk of people placing meat orders with him for family barbeques.

"What you have failed to mention, comma, is that the shopkeeper has said she attempted to take items from the shelves and leave after that. That's shoplifting to most people."

"Oxbore no wonder you want to leave the country the way its going downhill,I'm beginning to think you might be doing the right thing moving to a wheelchair accessible mud hut in a poverty stricken village near the Cambodian border"
Re: Shoplifting.
"Fiff, the woman in question actually went up to the till to return goods, previously purchased in the shop, and the shopkeeper demurred. Legally the shop keeper was within his rights but from his initial refusal it then escalated."

Re: Shoplifting.
The woman in Peckham that tried to walk out with goods from a shop she thought was entitled to... repeatedly hit the owner and then when he restrained her she hits him on the head with a shopping basket and then he restrains her by the neck for two seconds. And he's now been nicked because she was black and he's Asian and it's clearly racist and as a result of white supremacy. Yes really.

"My point, RB, is that it might look like the scrotes are taking the path of least resistance, in reality they are not. Their 'waters' (to use your analogy) are chock-full of weirs, locks, pollution and rockfalls of their own making, creating much stalling, turbulence and foam."

Re: Shoplifting.
"Imagine that geezer, no doubt grafting his arse off doing long hours, trying to protect his shop and not let a shoplifter get away from robbing him, then the 'protesters' come out in force, meaning he'll lose his business and livelihood. What a time to be alive."

"so while I'm not skint, I'm not rolling in it either Think that sums up most of us that are of a certain age and work full time. In all my 40 year working life I’ve only signed on a few times (teens and 20’s) and in the late 90’s when I broke my leg. Being a career criminal never appealed to me, to scared to have my freedom taken away. As a footnote since I started driving trucks I’ve had 2 days off sick since 2006, and that was an eye infection, previous to that the jobs I did you didn’t get any sick pay so usually just sucked it up. Gen - X you see."

Re: Shoplifting.
"As a result of acquaintances going back many years, and the area of London I live in, I know loads of people who live a parasitic life of state benefits, drug/booze addiction and petty crime like shoplifting and benefits fraud. I hear the gossip regarding their antics and exchange polite 'Hello, nice to see you, how are your kids?' comments when passing them in the street. Without exception they look physically worn out. Exhausted by the age of 50 with skin and teeth making them look 20 years older. It's horrible to hear, for example, that their kids who were in the same primary class as my kids are now in prison or hopelessly addicted (like their parents) or they had their first children at the age of 14. Their lives sound unbelievably complex with many dramas and vendettas, arrests, violence. It sounds exhausting. Making absolutely no excuses for them here, because I firmly believe people can dig themselves out of the ordure if they really want to. It's entirely their own fault. But there is no way they are enjoying their lives. I work full time in a responsible job, don't drive, so commute everywhere, I don't have a partner with a second income coming in, so while I'm not skint, I'm not rolling in it either. But my life is really tranquil and relaxed compared to the scrotes'. It really is far less effort to get out of bed before noon, hold down a full time job, pay your tax, and not commit crime. Just can't get my head round why they choose to live that way."
