Want to do a good turn for a young ill Hammer?

Post cheeses cruyf »

Saw the following message on a facebook page I follow...don't worry they're not looking for money. Even if only a couple of you do this it will make some bit of a difference for a young Hammer..... This is not West Ham related but supporter related I will try to keep this brief my son has been in hospital now for 6 weeks he is a massive West Ham fan he had a cancerous Brain tumour the first time he was 8 and it’s now started to grow again he had a operation to remove it but has not regained full consciousness. He had medical problems before so it’s been difficult he has had a lot of problems along the way he is in intensive care he developed pneumonia then sepsis shock he had a operation to put in a feeding tube this went wrong it was leaking had another operation they found whole in the bowel in fixing they caused another whole and cut an artery they had to fix then they put a drain in and went through the stomach and the bowel so had another operation to fix this and had to have a stoma put in and the bowel cut off. He was also put on life support with the tube since then he has had this removed and a trachea put in so at the moment can’t talk to communicate but he is still semi conscious anyway he is so determined and never gives up my question to any of my friends or any West Ham supporters if you have time I would like to get him sent as many Get Well cards as possible if you are able to and would like to please send them to the following address his name is: Cane 15d Canford Avenue Wallisdown Bournemouth BH11 8RY Many thanks in advance to anyone who is able to do this for him it will give him a massive boost to know so many people are supporting him.

Just read an updated post on facebook here it is... I wanted to update this post as I have been taken back by the response I received I was only expecting a few cards maybe being sent but when they say West Ham is a family club it is so true in every word. I have changed this post now due to the amount of cards received I could not take anymore to his intensive care room. Firstly I want to thank everyone who has sent a card to cane when he is able to regain proper consciousness and hopefully able to see properly he will be taken back by the response. He has some learning difficulties and has never really been able to make friends throughout school or college due to his condition and the fact he always had a one to one with him i suppose people always found it hard to make any friendships with him. I would like to also thank all the people who sent well wishes to him it means so much. I am going to do a group/page on Canes struggles and journey over the next couple of days as it would be good for him to see what has been happening the last 6 weeks as a document of his life also so when he is better he can continue to update this to help other people with pituitary tumours and so people can draw inspiration from his journey and hopefully give them the strength to keep fighting and never give up also to update on his condition and the way forward for him in regards to rehabilitation and treatment I will put the details of the page on this post in due course. So once again thank you to everyone.

"Madeeasy.....I don't know this lad or his family, the only details I know are what I posted on the top. Saw it on Long Live the Boleyn facebook page. Nice sentiments so far though and like I said even if only a couple of us do it we could be giving him a bit of a boost"

"Not knocking what you have done mate, just want to help get him the cards! I have been through a 4 month hopsital stay with my son when he was 13 so know how you feel. Who is his favourite player? Huffers really helped me out and got me a signed Nobes picture for my son and sent it in. Top man he was and won't ever forget it. Just don't say Rice...!"

GB send me a who mail of what you would write and your name etc and I will get a card and write it out on your behalf and send it mate. Lets get little one as many cards as we can. Can we Pin this at the top and write a description of help for a west ham kid as it may get more people opening and sending. Not a lot on here would do a good turn... but would for a little hammer!
