100s Armed Police hand in their tickets refuse to be aimed
"Following the murder charge on their colleague after the Chris Kaba shooting. Police are now panicking as there are not enough armed police officers to protect the public in case of terrorist attack or other incidents. I don't know much about Chris Kaba incident some say if he was white he wouldn't have been shot? Others say he had many previous convictions some with firearms but that is not good enough reason to shoot him. Some say he was using his car as a weapon ramming police to try and get away others say not? Apparently Kabas family have viewed body cam footage and said they were making a step back made no comment and have no idea if Kaba committed previous allegations of crime? I don't know without all the facts who is right or wrong but the decision has massive implications for all our safety as if I was an armed copper I would step back, good luck if they can find others to fill the void."

"Sxboy_66 3:41 Mon Sep 2 I'd go along with 99% of your post. If someone is pointing a gun at me I'm almost certainly going to comply. I don't know if the training has changed but the last time I looked at the training (years ago admittedly) we DID have a shoot-to-kill policy, based on the common sense approach that if a police officer is shooting at you at all he/she deems you a clear and present danger to life. Most people on here are seemingly saying that this copper was completely in the right. I don't know and neither do any of us (and it was me that posted the actual facts as I read them). Give the bloke his day in court and get all the accounts from those who were there. What's the harm?"

"People tend not to start on me, because I look like someone you'd not want to start on. So it's never an issue. Your opinion isn't fact, it's not jumping on you, it just pointing out, you clearly have a lot of issues."

"Council Scum 3:34 Mon Sep 25 Strange how I tell a true story about losing my shit and you seem to read it as a 'lecture' on self-control? You cunts jumping on everything interesting anyone has to say is the reason why people don't post anything interesting on here any more and the site's gone to shit. I've always thought ED can't stand the fact that he's a fucking bore, the kind who looks at his shoes (along with a lot of Londoners to be fair) when something bad happens and can't stand the thought that we're not all like that. Interesting too that stopping myself getting beaten up on the tube has to be judged before someone like CS and the kangaroo court and I am found to be guilty of 'being part of the problem'. What would you have done in the circumstances CS? Genuine question."
Re: 100s Armed Police hand in their tickets refuse to be aimed
"Firearms officers are trained to aim for a bottle shaped target that covers the head and chest. They practice and are tested regularly to ensure they hit this area with almost every shot. Training and muscle memory means that in a live situation they will hit that target almost every time without thinking about aiming. The reason area is targeted is that the intention is to stop the suspect from carrying out their actions. Hitting this area is the most certain way to achieve that. It is also most likely to prove fatal, but that is not the intention. Also, aiming for limbs etc. would mean a greater chance of missing, possibly leading to stray rounds causing harm to others. Clear verbal instructions are given are given to the suspect before shots are fired. Shooting is a last resort. This officer carried out his duty as he had been trained. To charge him with murder is ridiculous. That would suggest he deliberately set out to kill Kaba and didn't follow procedures. The way to prevent these incidents is simple. If a police officer points a gun at you and gives you instructions, do as you're fucking told."

"...and ED (I am not even going to go into what an unhealthy obsession you have about me) I haven't told a story about me fighting for literally YEARS. In fact I haven't even HD a fight for years. It's not a good look on a mid-fifties bloke, is it. You do plenty of fighting but it's from behind that keyboard of yours isn't it? Just what is it you're repressing? I've got a good idea what it is but perhaps you would like to share it with the group?"

"CS, don't be a cսnt about it. It's perfectly true. Even when I stopped a kid getting stabbed by a bunch of Somalis when the old bill arrived they absolutely didn't chase them with me, they decided I was the one who deserved all the shit. In fact my brother who had literally saved the kid's life ended up in the back of a van."

"Chim, you've detailed god knows how many fights you've had over the years with complete strangers when you've been out and about in London. Not in a boozer, or at a party, but usually just on a train alor walking innocently in Camden or similar. I've grown up and lived in London my whole life, and I don't know anyone who has got in half the scraps you have whilst just out and about, so maybe there's a common denominator?"

"""Have you ever had to deal with the police CS?"" Yes ""to whom there's absolutely no doubt that the police are heavy handed generally and will seemingly do everything in their power to make any situation you're involved in worse"" Complete and utter bollocks ""Years ago some proper mad cսnt punched me in the face on a tube train...."" So the bloke tripped up and you decided to boot him in the face, but then want to lecture about self control. Brilliant."

"Council Scum 11:59 Mon Sep 25 People like me about? Have you ever had to deal with the police CS? Personally I have, and on plenty of occasions and I am not sure I would trust them with being judge, jury and executioner. Apparently the CPS seem to share my view. Maybe the trial will just be to try and appease the local community to whom there's absolutely no doubt that the police are heavy handed generally and will seemingly do everything in their power to make any situation you're involved in worse. Never experienced that? You're a lucky boy. Fortunately I live in a country where you can't shoot someone dead with impunity and I would like it to stay that way. Years ago some proper mad cսnt punched me in the face on a tube train for accidentally treading on his toe. I fell back and winded myself as my back hit the seat. He jumped on me and continued to punch me until I got a bit of wind back, pulled the back of his hair so he couldn't see what he was hitting, swung a lucky one which smashed his glasses and ripped his face open. The train stopped at Liverpool Street and by now there's claret everywhere and he tried to get away but tripped and I kicked him in the face having completely lost it when two plain clothes officers (who had seen the whole thing from the next carriage) jumped on me with the bloke screaming 'he's a psycho, he beat me up for nothing'. I thought 'fuck, I am in trouble here' despite throwing one punch and one kick. I got taken to Liverpool Street nick and in the van one of the uniformed old bill said to another 'can you believe what that TP said? Did you see the state of that bloke's face'? It was then that it dawned on me that 'TP' was transport police and they'd said that it wasn't my fault. Regardless, they REALLY wanted to charge me with ABH and during the interview the copper said 'I get what you are saying about self defence but there comes a point where you go beyond that and it becomes an attack'. I said 'have you ever been in a fight? You don't really think like that, in fact you don't think much more than about knocking the bloke out so he can't hit you any more'. Which is the long way round telling you that as members of the public we are supposed (despite absolutely no training) to only use 'reasonable force' yet the police don't even have to account for themselves when they kill someone? Like I said, the trial will unpack this incident properly and I don't doubt that the officer will walk away a free man. What I WILL say is that 12 years of cutting the police force has lead to an all time low and just like the prison service, NHS, mental health care and death generally by a thousand cuts has fucked this country. Cheers Cameron and Osbourne."

"Obviously not a first response if the car was being tailed and a roadblock set up, don’t think they’re going to that trouble on a whim."
Re: 100s Armed Police hand in their tickets refuse to be aimed
"Perhaps shooting people in the head as a first response is not a wise choice no matter how ""split second"" that decision is. Judge Dredd is a fictional character not a role model."

Re: 100s Armed Police hand in their tickets refuse to be aimed
Let's flip that question... Would he have had drug related offences and been driving a car he didn't own known for causing trouble the previous day if he were white?

Re: 100s Armed Police hand in their tickets refuse to be aimed
Few things on how you’d approach this situation: Would you think gun that can kill me rather than colour of skin? Isn’t ramming other cars by using a big fuck off jeep type thing using a deadly weapon? Would you think after the warnings of armed police being screamed and him ignoring those screams he’s basically saying you are not stopping me
