"What is the correct pronunciation of Plaistow? Is it Play-stow or Plar-stow? I should know, I use to walk from there to Upton Park for 20 years but clearly not."

"trying to pronounce my give name - Michael - is a lesson in itself, but I used to often get a shag out of teaching girls how to pronounce it. Was that in Cambodia you old creep?"

"Plah-stow. Was Plah-stow before I even knew where it was. Bromley was always an issue as my father and his family hailed from south of the river. English, though, is a complete cսnt - People trying to pronounce my give name - Michael - is a lesson in itself, but I used to often get a shag out of teaching girls how to pronounce it. Then Michael Jackson died and everybody knew, so I had to put my knob away."

"I've never been quite sure of that either. I always thought Super Trooper by Abba mentioned ""when I called you last night from Plaistow"", but apparently it's GLASGOW. ERITH is another one I struggle with. Is it eh-rith or EE-rith?"
