Ryder Cup
Re: Ryder Cup
Font Don't buy cheap clubs if want to play seriously and regularly. It'll be like batting with a balsa wood cricket bat
Re: Ryder Cup
"The players get $30000 in travel allowances,$7,500 in clothing allowances (god knows why as the have a uniform and pj's ). They also are given a Rolex watch or similar by their captain, plus 20 tickets for friends and family ."
Re: Ryder Cup
"Fonz - if you are starting from scratch, what ever your budget for clubs, golf fees, clothing etc is, allocate the cost of 6 lessons with a professional, from your budget. Getting the basics right, from day one, is so important."

Re: Ryder Cup
Fonz Its a murderous game that always leaves you wanting to commit suicide. That said. I have two sets. A kinda professional type and a budget set. I’d always recommend budget unless you’re a really good golfer. I have my second set in the Isle of wight and happily use them. Been playing for 50 years.

"Cantlay didn’t have a Danny La Rue about the financial arrangements, before he signed up to play? Yeah, Righto Just comes across as a bloke who’s being greedy Yes, he might have a case. And if he feels that strongly about it, he should make himself unavailable Don’t join in and turn up as part of a team, then start grizzling the multi millionaire tears that his earnings are not fair?"

"Glad it went down to the wire somewhat, could have been A DAMP SQUIB. Set it up for accuracy and the Yanks are found wanting again"
Re: Ryder Cup
First time watched a full day. Great drama. Anyone got any tips for someone who has never played in regards to getting into it? Cheap clubs etc?

Re: Ryder Cup
Miike I expect it's been taken out of context. He's probably hinting at the huge amount of money the event makes and where it goes. I'm sure the usual €1 beer goes for five times that. Those corporate mega tents will go for the GDP of Burundi.

Re: Ryder Cup
Lowry is a bit shit today. Let’s get these 4 points ASAP then we can mock the yanks in the remaining games.
