Re: ‚ö? West Ham v Newcastle - Official Match Thread
"If for no other reason, Antonio will want to score to try and one up his podcast mate. This will be a tough game though and a bit of a yardstick to see what's what after the calamity last season. They've become a bit of a bogey team for us. Only one win in the last nine. As for spurs, they'll come down with a bump sooner or later. The only real 'proper' result they've had is drawing with Arsenal. Beating Man U isn't much cop this season and the only the VAR thing had them beat NINE man Liverpool at home by a single goal. Drew with Brentford and otherwise they've just beat teams in the bottom three- and barely in Sheff Utd's case. As well as getting knocked out the cup by Fulham. They've been incredibly fortunate so far and will have played 4 of the bottom 7 after Luton. Emperor's new clothes at the moment. 'Ange mania' won't last all that long and it's far too soon to be heralding him as some sort of genius. People were saying that about Ten Hag last season too."

"Has Antonio done enough in recent games to keep his place? He is definitely an improvement on last season. Showing allot more glimpses of his glory days where he was unplayable. The frustration for me is there is a player in there, we all know it and he shows it from time to time. It's almost like he's been holding back? Overall I'd keep him in the team if fit. I think he'll be up for a game like Newcastle."

"Newcastle are rapidly becoming the next media 'darlings' and its getting on my tits as much as the others of the so called 'Big Six'. So to quote a line from McVicar, lets do the Geordie maggots."
