Re: England v Eyeties Euro Qualifier
To those like me who learnt our football in the 70s: when did it become legal to hold off a defender with an outstretched arm?

Re: England v Eyeties Euro Qualifier
"Now that England have qualified Southgate has to use the last two qualifiers to give a game to Watkins, Toney , whoever as Kanes back up. And see if someone who isnt Henderson or K Phillips can do a better job. Seems to have something against JWP so wont be him Italian defending isnt what it was. 3-1"
Re: England v Eyeties Euro Qualifier
"“Well done troops” says Dublin as Henderson comes on to some people cheering. Most of the crowd cheered, apparently. Would have been refreshing to hear a commentator challenge the selection of a player in a retirement league playing at a pretty low level, and being a hypocrite."

"Dion Dublin is absolutely stealing a living. 'He's (Phillips) is in trouble if they review that' Well, they won't review it because they don't review possible yellow cards. How can C4 pay him to not know that?"

"Phillips lucky there. Re Rashford, ‘shockingly poor’ was a bit over the top. I just think he is inconsistent for England, frustratingly so - he has a lot of talent but often overplays it. Looks good when it comes off of course."
