"I think that Sullivan will offer Moyes a new two year contract. Would I, no. As others have said, any half decent manager should be able to get our squad of players playing at a decent level. I would rather go at it in games and take it to the opposition and not sit back every time we go 1-0 up. It's not as if Moyes's tactics work in any case as the two 1-3 against City and Liverpool show. Would rather win (or lose) 5-4 than 1-0 every week. At the moment I would say no With the arrival of Tim it feels like we need more of a great coach than a great manager so Potter would be worth a look IMO. Alonso will be going to Real Madrid unfortunately

I have no idea how these contracts are put together but what I do know is that outside of the 'mickey mouse' football world and in private industry we all have to perform and have our performance analsed on a bi-annual or annual basis. Surely we can do the same with Moyes. Top ten minimum please and the minute we're out of that zone then you're in danger. It's not that hard surely.

That alone should have made him realise that there's no good reason to offer contracts early, even if things are going well, especially when there's no competition for the manager's services. In any case Sullivan said a few months back that Moyes' contract situation will be looked at when it runs out, not before: 'We believe in honouring contracts. David has a contract with us until next summer and next summer we'll look at it again. Until then, if he wants to remain as manager then he will remain as manager of West Ham.'"

Sullivan sat on his hands and was prepared to get relegated wifh Moyes when we were bottom three and looked certs for the drop and Moyes was going to do a Sunderland on us. The man can do no wrong. The other massive issue is that Sullivan doesn't do paying up new managers contracts. Sullivan only takes new managers out of contract. IF Moyes has a stinker second half of season then Potter could get a call as out of contract, not sure if he is the answer?"
