Gianluca Scamacca Gone
"Taking to Twitter, the Italy international wrote: “Dear West Ham. “While my time in London didn’t go the way I had planned, some of my greatest life moments were made here. And for that I’m forever grateful Thank you to the players and staff for making me feel so welcome, and the fans for their continued support. “I will continue to support this fantastic club from home in Italy, and will be keeping in close touch with the lifelong friends I have made whilst in England Thank you for everything, Ciao.”"

Re: Gianluca Scamacca
I agree with Nagel and Jimmy. It's better to keep the debate on transfers on one thread

"With the medical pending and no official word yet, I’d say the OP is going out on a LIMB."
Re: Gianluca Scamacca
"I'm with Jimmy. Never understood this attitude. Don't see why we can't have a new thread on every player we get seriously linked to, especially when like this one we know that an offer has actually taken place. That transfer thread is full of the same people popping up to say the same thing every other day."
Re: Gianluca Scamacca
"If we get this one over the line, he deserves a thread of his own. For me, he's a better option than Broja who didn't really blow me away with his 6 goals last season for Southampton. I honestly reckon one of our youth products could have produced similar return if given the same chance. Plus at 20 there is so little evidence of whether he will come good or not. It was a big risk for me. At least Scamacca has a season of scoring a decent amount of goals. 8 in 13 starts for Genoa the season before last and 16 in 25 last season. He looks pretty strong too so I think he'll adapt well to the Premier League. IMHO he's the better option even if he is a little more expensive."

Re: Gianluca Scamacca
I think the tradition is that a player gets their own thread ONCE they have signed and are pictured with the manager having a cup of tea and a sticky toffee hob nob in the boardroom.

"If we can have a thread on sticky toffee hob nobs, then I'm sure we can have a thread on a new striker coming in after 2 years!"
