Gianluca Scamacca Gone
"Taking to Twitter, the Italy international wrote: “Dear West Ham. “While my time in London didn’t go the way I had planned, some of my greatest life moments were made here. And for that I’m forever grateful Thank you to the players and staff for making me feel so welcome, and the fans for their continued support. “I will continue to support this fantastic club from home in Italy, and will be keeping in close touch with the lifelong friends I have made whilst in England Thank you for everything, Ciao.”"

"I think it was suggested that Scamacca was a Newman target and Broja was who Moyes wanted, twofeet. I don't care either way. We have a striker at last."

"A comment from the BBC page (amongst some ignorant ones of course) Here in Italy, there is shock that he hasn't gone to PSG...very good player, hard as nails and at 6 foot 5 dangerous at set pieces but also great at holding the ball up and bringing others into play. Bowen is gonna love him, no balls bouncing all over the place like Antonio. Excellent first touch and a hard wicked shot. Italy's number one striker atm and still very young. Very very good business!"

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
Good to see this finally done. Takes a lot of pressure of the squad to have a good alternative up front. Looking forward to seeing him play in a West Ham shirt.
Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"Looks an excellent player, I've heard many a pundit wax lyrical about him. They all seem to think we've bought a gem. Said he's been on most clubs radars since he was young and was well known in Italy as a wonder kid but has taken some time to reach his potential. Looking forward to seeing him play for us."

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"Yea, Mourinho seems to have found his spiritual home there, he never had a career as a player so he appreciates and values what he has around him there. That said, it can always go tits with him quickly. We should be happy to be in the ECL, albeit we truly shouldn't have finished below the worst Man Utd side in 30+ years, in fact it was a fucking disgrace, and we should be in the EL. But I'll take it, the domestic cups are so difficult to win now."

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
Seen a lot of videos of Scamacca… Only weaknesses so far are…no left foot…bit slow off the mark…but a strong runner Can’t wait to see him in action…

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"I was actually very envious of Roma seeing that footage of Dybalas unveiling and then also when they won the conference, that “Mickey mouse” cup the big clubs turn their noses up at!, seeing the fans celebrate with such passion and what it meant to them after so long without a trophy was everything good about football rather than the entitled version you get from the biggest and richest clubs fans were its almost entitlement winning trophy’s or leagues. Remember seeing Mourinho being interviewed and saying how much he was enjoying managing Roma and the passion and support he got from the fans was big part of that, all but said it was the best job he has had! And Abrahams has said similar."

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"People saying how cool the unveiling was using the old C4 Football Italia theme? and they had to take it down and edit it as they got his name wrong. LOL By comparison, this is how Roma unveiled Dybala. Its a NO contest, one sends shivers up your spine, the other...................... https://mobile.twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1552015619251634176"

"Have to be pleased with this, seems to tick most boxes and finally gives Antonio some competition. The striker hunt is finally over, as is the Lingard soap opera, so hopefully we can now quietly go about getting 2 or 3 more in."

"Takashi Miike 2:45 Wed Jul 27 That's what his youtube video suggests. looks to be a handful inside and outside the box, presses defensively, and can pick a pass. Can't remember when we had a centre forward that plays like that. hopefully he settles quick and the pace of the prem doesn't overwhelm him"

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"Me too Ron, really loving the Lazio/Rome connection. I think Rome is one of the greatest cities in the world and as much as people seem to think Romans are a bit up themselves (kind of like the rest of the British think of Londoners) they are on the whole a great bunch, earthy and know what's what. I'm hoping Gianluca brings a bit of swagger with him and really hopes he bends the ear of PDC to see what West Ham are all about. I'm starting to get excited about this move and hope for a few others who will bleed for the cause."

"brilliant signing. listened to a pundit I like (tancredi palmieri) on TS earlier who said he's a bargain. described him as a more traditional striker rather than the modern swiss army knife/multi tasker, but really loves him"

"I can't pretend that I have ever seen or heard of him (although if he's a starter for Italy I probably have), fuck, I hadn't heard of the club he played for before a couple of days ago, but welcome to the club Gianluca and hopefully on to big things here at West Ham. Actually Gian, I hope you NEVER find yourself at an odd moment on your phone late one night and think 'well that's porn done, what's this fan forum WHO and what do they think of me'? Without you kicking a single ball in our shirt I can tell you for free that if you don't score at least two goals a game the fucking nimrods on here will be pissing their pants at what a shocking, ball-watching, lazy cսnt you are. You know, the kind of idiots who think 'if you paid ME ninety grand a week I would have scored that' is some sort of valid argument. Hold tight and try and enjoy the ride mate like most of us have done for half a century or more."

"However. Over the moon to get this lad in and looking forward to seeing what he can do. If he's half as good as another Roman we had at the club some years ago, we'll have a player on our hands."
