Gianluca Scamacca Gone
"Taking to Twitter, the Italy international wrote: “Dear West Ham. “While my time in London didn’t go the way I had planned, some of my greatest life moments were made here. And for that I’m forever grateful Thank you to the players and staff for making me feel so welcome, and the fans for their continued support. “I will continue to support this fantastic club from home in Italy, and will be keeping in close touch with the lifelong friends I have made whilst in England Thank you for everything, Ciao.”"

"Shorty - I quite like Gonzo, and yes no one has to watch, but he's really been scraping the barrel with content of late, same with Geo. Things is though there is fuck all going on anywhere."
Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
Manny. Each to their own mate. But it’s a little bit more informative than some scream Queen from north London. Stirring the shit up for their own agenda. Then claiming. “ It’s not about them.!”

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
Most teams don’t play with 2 up front. If for example we did play Scamacca up front with Ings then what formation would we play? Would we still play with 2 wingers and if so we would then have to drop out a midfielder. Paqueta is obviously an automatic starter so that would mean whoever is Rice’s replacement would have to do a lot of work in that midfield 2. I get the need to have 2 up top when we are chasing the game with 25 minutes to go and looking for a goal but starting with 2 centre forwards would see us getting overrun in midfield even more than usual.
Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
Cornet is fucking shit. Antonio is a sulky moody poor excuse of a striker. No ambition if people want these two clowns in the starting 11.
Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"love the suggestions and would love to see either 2 up top with Ings and Scamacca or 2 wide men with pace. I have absolutely no confidence that will happen though and expect to see 2 holding players, one being the immobile soucek, Benrahma playing wide with no pace and Antonio the number one option."

"Gonzo has just put out a 15 min vid on this. I appreciate he does this for a living now, but it's all getting very tedious with the crap he is putting out every day now."

"""Team him up with Cornet is my wild arse suggestion."" Surely you'd look to team him up with Ings if you're going to do that?"

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
360 Moyes wont change our style of play. He tried last season and it failed miserably. We only improved after he went back to his old format. He will sign 2 CMs to fill the massive hole Rice will leave behind and if Antonio stays you can bet it will be him leading the line again next season.

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"Nope, it's a pretty good suggestion- and it's likely how they should have aimed to play last season. Scamacca a little deeper, setting Bowen and Antonio away, but it would likely work just was well with Cornet and Bowen assuming as you say Cornet is over his injury problems, although I think he was over them some time ago TBH but just not getting a kick like several other players."

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"Also, Moyes knows he has to move on from Antonio and Rice. Our game will change because it’s been reliant on two players performing way differently to anyone else in the league. That’s not going to be an option as rice leaves and Antonio gets older or moves on. So I’m expecting players like scamaca to define how we play our football. Moyes will adapt to the new reality. He has no choice."

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"It’s amazing what people want to read into things. The facts are he hasn’t failed here, he’s been injured. It’s not normal to move someone on after 1 season simply due to the economics of doing that. I think a year here and being inspired by our trophy is a good thing for him. I feel like he’s ready to do the business this season!"

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"Scammaca is a square peg in a round hole. Good player but not a Moyes one. Dont run the channels, lacks pace so cannot run behind etc. He is everything that Antonio is not, good touch, technique, passing ability and can finish but Antonio will always be a better option. We should sell and buy someone in the Antonio/Arnie mould. We know it works so not sure why we keep trying something different."

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"Trundle here is the Roma part in context. Via Google translate to be fair, I am sure goose could do a better job ""I've always missed Italy, but if I were to return to Serie A, it wouldn't be because I failed in England, which is not the case. Simply because it would be an indispensable opportunity. No, it wouldn't even be a step backwards for my career: our league remains one of the best. I have always reasoned from the heart and will continue to do so in the future. And you know what are the two colors of my heart. But now I'm a West Ham player and, despite all the rumours, I feel good here too. For me Rome is home. And Totti, the idol as a child. And what player in the world wouldn't dream of being coached by Mourinho? I am convinced that Mou would stimulate me and with him I would improve even more. Pellegrini is courting me? We talked, he is a friend: let's say we joked a little "" You can also hear even from that he responding to specific questions."
Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
Scamacca has had too deal with a injury a new league and culture. Play for a manager who is clearly not suited for him. And try and win over a fan base who excepts. Now does that give him a free hit.? Absolutely not. But I would hope. As intelligent fans. (At least compared to some in more profiled clubs.) We are a bit more understanding. And less knee jerking.

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
The reality is: pull quotes are just part of the interview and the interview is just part of what was actually said. Not my favourite interview a West Ham player has done but not a come and get me plea either. If you can read everything in context. None of the movement to Italy stuff seems like he sees it neccesarily happening right now.
Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
If we could swap him for say prime Cafu and de Rossi - I’d say game on.

Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"RBshorty 11:00 Wed Jul 12 Behave. The closest you've had Rice behaving like this is him probably saying he respects Arteta, or something similar when asked about him. Publicly, Rice hasn't whored himself out anywhere near like this."
Re: Gianluca Scamacca Signed
"well the snippets from Canadas post certainly sound more promising really hope we keep him, there is a 20 goal a season striker there whos value can rocket Anyhow if he is wanting Roma he might be waiting a while, they are hoovering up Leeds' shite on loan so cant have that much cash to play with..."
