Is it worth getting a £34 Amazon Firestick to do all of this without the hassle of hooking the laptop to the TV every time? Or one of the cheaper Android boxes??"

jammy - did you reinstall it. The version from 2 weeks ago no longer works - you have to delete it and reinstall the completely new version - as per the video.

I'd be wary if it says its jailbroken. Jailbreaking is an IOS thing. There is an android rooting option but you really dont need it for Kodi / Showbox etc. Sounds a good price though!
