"bruuuno 12:25 Wed Feb 24 If you're clueless, then install Kodi on a Windows computer and play with it there to begin with. It's free and exactly the same as installing it on a box (only easier as you'll be using a keyboard that you're used to!). That way you can see which addons work for you - accessing 3:00pm matches, movies and other things that you might find interesting. You'll start to learn how Kodi works and how to install addons and then move on to installing it on another type of box plugged into your TV. If you get hooked on it and can manage the install side of things then decide how much you want to spend on a dedicated box. Personally I wouldn't get a stick, but a box with an Ethernet (network) port so that you can connect it directly to your router - or use Powerline adaptors to connect, rather than connect with WiFi. Some people get lucky with sticks that can only use WiFi, but it is typically the biggest cause of buffering, especially with HD streams. Like Mallard, I've got 3 Raspberry Pi's in the house - all connected by Powerline adaptors. Avor - if you go the Pi route, don't get the starter kit - buy the components mallard says separately. I've got the older Pi's and they handle 1080p HD with no problem at all."

If you have a recomendation for a specific version and supplier i am listening! Also how easy are they to clear down all the shit that is loaded on them and reinstall new versions?

Jailbroken just means they have XBMC which is mostly pre installed when you buy online anyway isn't it ?

I've used both successfully. Biggest difference...can get a VPN up and running on the PI through OpenElec. Conversely the Stick is a nicer remote/package if you don't need VPN...although arguably slightly more tricky to get Kodi setup on (although neither are hard).

Jack.... just remember every day before usage go onto mainteance/Services and `purge packages' and `delete cache' and that's half the battle...

These boxes are absolutely the nuts I'm still finding my way round (& still have lots to learn) but I haven't yet missed a West Ham match on a good stream & watched dozens of great movies Well worth the Ôø?50 I paid for it Thanks Far Cough for the advice
