"I gave my 31 days notice to Sky, as I do every year and they've tried to call me at least 6 times in the last two weeks, but I've ignored their calls. I actually spoke to one of their reps yesterday and he tried to offer me a half price contract for 12 months. I politely explained that, after being a customer for nearly 25 years, I would expect a better offer than the same one offered to new subscribers. Where was my new Sky+ HD Box? Where was my deal on multi-room? After he'd spoken to his supervisor and agreed to send me a new Sky+ HD box if I signed up for another 12 months, I laughed and asked if he'd ever heard of Kodi before refusing his offer and telling him to proceed with my cancellation. And while I'm here, I can't believe no one has mentioned The Beast builds on Kodi. Everything you could ever want to watch, all laid out in seperate section: Mens Area, Womens Area, Kids, etc. is within easy reach. I tried it on my laptop and was so impresse I instantly installed it on my Amazon Fire TV box. And a few of my mates have followed suit once they saw how good it was. Try it. You wont be disappointed."

There is - under the audio button on a video there's something called Audio Offset that you adjust. Takes a bit of playing with but does work.

"Don't know if any of you have had the same problem but a lot of my stuff disappeared when I changed over from Sky to BT broadband. I found the following on the web and all is now ok: Q. My internet supplier BT seem to be blocking some add-on's from working what can I do? A. If you have BT as your internet supplier you will need to disable parental control or you will be limited to what you can watch. Information how to do it is HERE Also after you have followed the above information to disable the parental controls online with BT you must also open a browser on your Smart TV box when you first install it and go to a web site E.g. news and your HomeHub will ask again about parental controls please click NO as per this video HERE or BT SMART SETUP - go to your router ip on a pc address should be http://192.168.1.254 Navigate to advance settings at the top enter password press enter (password should be on the card that came with router) Click continue to advanced settings, click on home network tab, then click on smart setup tab, Click No and apply setting."

"All this wookie bollocks with loads and loads of stuff, I just can't see you would need it. That's why I use Wookie Lite... just the essentials on there... and if you need anything else you can get the add on yourself... far less klunky than some of these massive builds"

"Thanks Browno. Can I have a recommendation for Sky Sports, especially Sky Sports News? I have seen Sky Sports channels listed somewhere in what I have (UKTurks?) but not SSnews? Plus can anyone recommend a good documentary addon? And a good kids one for when I have my little hammer with me? Thanks chaps, I'm loving this Amazon Fire TV box, seriously don't think about getting anything else."

"Okay, 24 hours in as a know nothing luddite and this is what I have learnt: 1) The amazon fire TV box is fucking amazing. I can't believe there is a better box out there in any price bracket. Great quality item, the hardware seems to handle Kodi with ease. Plus if you have Amazon Prime and/or Netflix as I do then both are excellent through the box. I thought the voice search was a bit gimmicky but it is very accurate and a very easy way to find movies, TV and apps with ease. 2) Installing firestarter is a big win. It bypasses the opening screen and goes straight to your apps for speed and includes the latest Kodi to install, which it keeps updated for you. https://github.com/sphinx02/FireStarter/ 3) Addon Installer is well worth it. You can load Phoenix, Robocop straight from it with EASE, a simple click unlike all the fannying about. You do need to install the Fusion Installer first but all the instructions are here: https://www.tvaddons.ag/addon-installer-kodi/ 4) I've added Phoenix, Robocop, NJM Soccer and UK turks and quite frankly I don't think I'll need any others hopefully. So far, so good, the only issue is that Phoenix wants to update but the update fails for some reason. I see the benefits of just having plain kodi and a few addons. All this wookie bollocks with loads and loads of stuff, I just can't see you would need it. I like the minimalised look and easy navigation. Most people probably only use a handful of addons anyway I would guess. If anyone recommends any other really good, stable movie sources i'd appreciate it but I think I've got it covered. Thanks for the advice here chaps, I really didn't have a scooby really."

"bubbsio 10:59 Wed Feb 24 Re: Kodi XBMC Operation Robocop or NJM soccer are great for any Premier league games. Within Robocop is an option called PLP, that generally has at least 3 links for the games, normally at least 1 is HD. Reading some of the comments in here i may have to invest in a Fire Tv box to replace the Firestick, seems most are happy with the box and hope it sorts my slight stuttering issue when watching via the Wifi stick.."
