Hasans Fish Bar RIP 11:58 Mon Jan 16 Now Tv is a locked down Roku box so technically just about anything that will work on Roku will work on Now TV (if the app is on the Sky store). Kodi definitely won't but I think with some jiggery pokery you can get Plex to work on it.

"Sidney, if I want to watch iPlayer I am blocked as I live in the States. A vpn makes the Beeb's servers think I live in the U.K. And therefore allows me to see it's programming. VPN also hides you from the nosy cunts like google from tracking you...........if you care that is."

Plus on a Firestick or Fire TV you can't use one anyway without some fairly expensive hardware.

"Spandex. I'd say only to disguise what you're watching/for privacy. I have a VPN account but rarely use it. Will become more important if ISPs start blocking, or any test court cases go against streamers themselves."

Can someone explain whether a VPN would be worth it? Is it that really a bigger deal? How do you actually use a VPN?

Can't be long can it before ISPs are lobbied to cut out access to the websites!"
