"For what it's worth: I used to use IPVanish, and was pretty happy with it. However turns out that it's based in the US, so is part of the so-called 5 Eyes Countries. You can google why that's an issue for a VPN provider. Here's a short quote: ""Online privacy experts such as privacytools.io recommend staying away from VPN providers based in the Fourteen Eyes, especially within the U.S. In essence, the U.S government could go to a VPN provider and demand access to customer data. On top of that, they can also order the VPN company to not let it’s customers know that this is happening."" So I did a bit of research and decided on a VPN called BolehVPN. It's based in Malaysia. And it turns out that the VPN performance is noticeably faster than what I had on IPVanish. The customer services is excellent too, very fast response times. I can recommend this site in helping you make your VPN decision: https://thatoneprivacysite.net/"

"It's really easy to set up, especially on the Fire TV. I am assuming you have to start it every time you start the Fire TV? Got it running on my laptop now, you get 5 simultaneous devices for the sub which is pretty good really"

"I'm going to set up IPVanish tonight. A little tip. Go through the process on their site to purchase it, get to the payment screen then shut it down. About an hour later you'll get an email offering a discount. Worked like that for me anyway. no doubt I'll be back later asking for help. :)"

"PostmanPissed 2:18 Wed Aug 23 Is your Firestick first gen? If it doesn't have Alexa, then it is. No VPN's work with first gen Firesticks (to my knowledge). I have ExpressVPN, it appeared as though it was switched on and working on firestick, but transpires it wasn't as I couldn't watch anything on Mania. Tried on my Ipad and had no issues at all."

"Okay, I've installed IPVanish after much research. Seems easy to use on a Fire TV, downloaded the app straight from Amazon. I'll see how I get on over the weekend but I've watched a movie on it no problems. This link https://www.ipvanish.com/comptech/?a_aid=569686160597c&a_bid=48f95966?a_aid=569686160597c&a_bid=48f95966 I nicked from the comparitech website gives you 60% off so I've paid about 80p a week for a years sub. There might be better affiliate links out there but direct on the IPVanish website it's about 30% more expensive."

Thats the downside of American coverage. NBC did have Martin Tyler commentating on the Man City/Everton game.
