Thanks for the tip stubbo- would you mind chucking me a quick WHOmail with how you do that please? I'd like to keep the Fire TV but i don't want to just use one of the few you can grab from their app store as I've not heard great things about any of them. Cheers!

"El Scorch...re VPNs the answer is not really. It is possible (I tried it) but the hardware is so poor it really struggles with handling the VPN encryption, which ultimately means painfully slow download speeds (no good for streaming). I run a VPN on my Fire TV just fine (with Private Internet Access via their App), but also can be done using the OpenVPN software and then I believe most VPN providers would support that. If you're binning off the Fire TV and want a few quid for it let me know though :)"

Al... I did... then I realised that I have got 2 Add on's (one was sportsmania and also maniahd??) .. I tried the other one and that was fine... have a look and see if you have 2 add on's

Lot of ISP's been blocking everything going on... not just that but certain film add on's as well... so it's VPN all the way... * gives a wanker sign in the general; direction of SKY and the Premier League *

I opted for a Fire TV box rather than a stick just as it can be connected by ethernet which should hopefully give better streams. With all this VPN stuff and the limitations of those available on fire TV I might just buy an android box and done with it. OR- techy brains of WHO- could I just buy a router which supports VPN and sort it out that way without having to buy an android box? On the Mania note- have they sorted their shit out yet or are they still going week to week with freebie passwords and no new/extension of subs?

I found ManiaHD to be a bit flakey on Saturday. Using a VPN as well. Had to re-set a few times during our game until I found the TSN channels and watched it through that. Seemed to be a lot better. Got up to watch the fight sunday morning and everything was perfect. US streams were much better yet again.
