"Does not sound good at all The Colossus Repo and Ares Wizard appear to have gone offline, taking with them the code for URLResolver, Covenant, Bennu, and hundreds of other Kodi addons and dependencies. Read more details below. November 15th, 10pm EST: The original story below has been updated with a new easier to follow format, new details and other breaking news from the Kodi world today after the Colossus Repo, Covenant, Bennu, jsergio123, Alpha, Smash, Ares, and others went dark and offline without any notice. Colossus Repo Gone Around 1pm EST on November 15th, the Colossus Repo went offline, taking with it a ton of Kodi addons and dependencies such as URLResolver, Covenant, Bennu, and more. Accessing the official Colossus Github Page shows no repositories listed. The GitHub page was the only official method for accessing the addons and repository and was constantly being updated before it went down. On Twitter, jsergio123, one of the main developers for URLResolver, had the following to say: Sorry to say but I am stopping all development of the urlresolver, metahandler, and my other addons. I am not responsible for covenant and bennu but colossus has agreed to delete the repo too. The community needs to support @tvaddonsco legal battle. That’s all I’m going to say. Multiple reports indicate that jsergio was contacted with a cease and desist order from the MPAA, where they called them responsible for promoting piracy via their addons in their repositories. A quick reminder that Kodi addons do not host any content and simply act as search engines to the public internet. @TheAlphaP Twitter Account A cryptic Twitter message by @TheAlphaP this afternoon ended up being a sign that Alpha was also in some trouble. https://twitter.com/TheAlphaP/status/930911943887482880 A few hours later, a letter that was supposedly sent to Alpha was posted online. In it, a collection of companies from Disney, Netflix, Sky, Warner Bros, and others calling themselves the “MPA” (Motion Picture Association) warn Alpha against doing any more Kodi development and accuse him a copyright infringement amongst a few other things. The letter can be read in full below. TheAlphaP’s Twitter account is still active."

Don't know if it's scaremongering but this article in The Independent http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/kodi-boxes-safety-check-warning-latest-expert-urge-users-device-a8057276.html

"I downloaded something called Aptoide TV onto my box through the browser. It's got loads and loads of apps in there and you can download them with one click. I got showbox from there and it works great. This is the link if anyone is interested https://m.aptoide.com/installer-aptoide-tv?lang=en Yes, I have malwarebytes running on it first as well, downloaded from google play store!"

"Alan, Yes, I was aware of this but apparently if you ensure the server is set to either A, B or C then it won't use torrents. There's a three dotted menu next to the 720p button which allows you to check which server you will be using. Plus I only stream rather than download and I use IPVanish anyway which I believe is quite Torrent friendly."

"I bought 2 actually! My son has snaffled my 2 year old Amazon Fire TV box so I wanted one for downstairs and one for the bedroom. I bought a H96 Max and a MX10. MX10 is very cheap at Geekbuying right now https://www.geekbuying.com/item/MX10-Android-7-1-2-RK3328-4GB-32GB-TV-Box-386668.html?Currency=GBP&gclid=CjwKCAiA6K_QBRA8EiwASvtjZWdL08Qdmj4DbU9r85cCqWQs_M4HvVO2a4mtIz2dMWPYC1Zu7c8vMxoC5YoQAvD_BwE Decent box for the money and if you're just looking for a good machine for watching films and football it's more than good enough. Spec is great for the money (do slowest shipping option as you're less likely to get stung for import charge but it'll take a few weeks from China). The H96 Max box (with Android 7.1) is different gravy though. It's a MONSTER and is probably the nearest you'll get to a Nvidia Shield. I managed to get one in the UK for £105 delivered. I'd say the H96 Max is twice the box of the MX10 at twice the price but honestly I'd be happy with the MX10 with 4gb ram and 32gb of rom and Android 7.1.2. If you can pay the ton, go for the H96 Max, if not you'll be happy with the MX10, especially if all you're doing is watching films and football. I loaded showbox and Mania HD and they both run really well on it."

"I've recently bought a new android box and I'm not sure I need Kodi now. I've installed the ManiaHD android app and it's really good. It also needs MX Player to work but that's a free download. Just watching the Tranmere Peterborough game and it's HD heaven. Plus I've installed Showbox app which is far and away better than anything I can get on Kodi. I used Showbox years ago and it was pants but it seems really good now. I've not even bothered with installing Kodi. Films, TV shows and football, I'm happy."

With regards to Mania as already said payments not being accepted at the moment. The other concern is how long will they last before big brother comes knocking.. Might just let it ride for a bit.

I’ve got my 6months for mania sorted. My only worry on credit card payments is who holds the details and could the powers that be get those details and come after those that have paid?

"El Scorchio ~ Gurzil is working fine (it's a form of Exodus) as is Covenant Elysium is still working Benny has plenty of good films Outside Kodi, Showbox is easily the best of the lot I've just signed up for another 6 months with ManiaHD which I now have running alongside Flawless Although Flawless has far less choice of sports streams, I have to say their streams of Sky & BT are far better than those on ManiaHD so far"

"By the way, is there consensus on what the best replacement for Exodus is? I haven't bothered with anything other than sport for a while and I see it basically doesn't work any more. Have seen a couple of names mentioned on here- is there one head and shoulders above at the moment?"
