Such sad news. I'm from Lincolnshire and he has family up here in the same little town as me. I didn't know him personally, but have friends that are very close to him and his family and from what they say he was such a good family man and West Ham through and through. RIP.

A big thanks to Charlie and MPI (and anybody else) for organising the flowers, it was a wonderful, thoughtful gesture and I cannot thank you enough. It was Simon's funeral yesterday and we wanted it to be a celebration of his life. We wanted people to wear football shirts, preferably West Ham or something with claret and blue on and everybody stepped up to the plate. We finished the service with Bubbles, what else?
