J Riddle You probably know the answer to this but its because they do not care about their welfare. By keeping the Palestinian issue alive it gives these countries a ''legitimate' stick to beat Israel with on the world scene. It would make the most sense for Egypt to control Gaza not Israel. But the Egypitans do not want to know.

"I suspect we are all agreed that only a negotiated political solution will bring a final peace to this conflict. Israel will not accept some solutions, just as Hamas won't. If the UN decided that Israel should be dissolved (its been only been in existence less than 80 years) and a new state called Palisrael formed, where Arabs and Jews are equal, I can't see the Israeli's taking that."

Every news station is showing the deaths caused by the Hamas terrorists, but I’ve not seen any context or mention of the tens of thousands of Palestinian deaths as reported by the UN. Gaza is about to get obliterated in response, as you would expect. But the Israeli defence minister called ALL Palestinians “animals” as he prepares to starve them out. Not seen this reported on the BBC or CNN. Just need to read it all, I suppose, and see what makes sense."
