Hamas attack Israel
"Or should i say they are attacking to get THEIR land back. Good luck to them. The World will watch and do nothing to help them as they always do, shame on us."

Re: Hamas attack Israel
"Poor Scotchland County Council The Scottish First Minister has said Israel is ""going too far"" and that the innocent civilians of Gaza cannot simply be ""collateral damage"". Humza Yousaf told BBC's Political Editor Chris Mason that he ""fears for the situation"" of his family members in Gaza. He was speaking shortly after posting a video of his mother-in-law describing the situation on the ground, and said she was in a ""real state of distress"". Yousaf called on the international community to ""step up"", and said there needed to be a ceasefire and a humanitarian corridor to allow supplies in and to allow people out. Asked about Israel's actions, he said his message is pretty simple: ""Innocent men, women and children cannot be victims. They cannot be simply thought of as collateral damage. The ends cannot simply justify the means. Collective punishment cannot and is not justified."" The Foreign Office has said Britons in Gaza should follow Israel's evacuation order."

Re: Hamas attack Israel
"Being in my sixties i have been used to conflicts in the middle east, it’s worse for the younger generation now as it’s all filmed on their phone and feel part of it. But this doesn’t me to say anything will happen, as the young allow a killing daily in their own neighbourhoods. They say a lot but do nothing!"

"Is a globalist someone who realises we live together on a single planet; that our economies are all interconnected to the extent that if we want to deal with any local issue, like climate change, immigration or unemployment, we need to align our policies with our international partners to achieve anything. Or we could be like another form of globalist who seeks their advantage in the destabilising relations and promoting war. Do you know who Hamas's main sponsors are?"

"Why would anyone, willingly, go on a trip to Gaza? Why can't you just use facetime or something? Baffles me."

"brundal Minor correction. The West Bank was annexed by Jordan around 1948 form British Mandate Palestine. Gaza was administered by the Egyptian state or the Ottomans up to 1917. Its worth noting that Egypt (which had been an eyalat of the Ottoman empire) gained semi-independence in 1867, insofar as it had to pay tribute but it did not have to follow the Ottoman political decisions. Egypt and syria had administered Gaza on behalf of the Ottomans, for centuries, with a few other Sultans form other regions having had a turn as well."
Re: Hamas attack Israel
"Claret on my shirt Hamas will not come to the negotiating table, because they are heavily backed by Iran who want Israel blown off the map. If you live in a country where another country constantly fires rockets at you I’m talking both side than there never will be peace , don’t forget Israel was formed before Palestine, the Gaza Strip was governed by Jordan ."

"Vengeance Ezekiel 25:17 I will execute great vengeance on them with wrathful rebukes. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I lay my vengeance upon them.” Matthew 5:38-39 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.’ But I say to you, Do not resist the one who is evil. But if anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also."

"Side of Ham 12:18 Fri Oct 13 Spot on. Anyone 'favouring a side' here would end up having the same accusations right back at them. As do who is the aggressor and who is the defender depends which year and which action you want to refer to. Sadly this is deeply ingrained into the very fabric of day to day life, history and thinking there can be no peace here everyone is holding onto too much."
Re: Hamas attack Israel
"Day of Jihad off to a good start: ""A teacher has been killed and two people have been seriously injured in a knife attack at a school in France, officials say. Interior Minister G?©rald Darmanin said the attack happened at the Gambetta high school in the northern city of Arras. Local officials say the attacker has been arrested. The attacker shouted ""Allahu Akbar"", or ""God is greatest"", during the attack, police told the AFP news agency. French channel BFMTV has reported that the brother of the attacker has also been apprehended by police."""

"Zero Would you say that Muslim’s biases would be softened or hardened by events in Palestine? I mean are they going to support a view that resembles the hard line ultra orthodox Jewish position represented in part by the current Israeli government or something different from that? If their views are hardened, how would that manifest itself in the future? What possible outcomes are possible from a hardening of their biases?"

"brundal 12:02 Fri Oct 13 I posted my original comment before we knew they'd killed women and babies and i have apoligised for that earlier in the thread. But i do back the right for the Palestinians to have their own land, not have it stolen by Israel and for them not to be basically ina one huge prison camp."
Re: Hamas attack Israel
"In terms of how Israel is governed right now the fundamentalist tail is wagging the dog. It is interesting that most of these land grabbing fundamentalists, who are systematically elbowing out long term Palestinian settlers, are exempt from military duty because they are studying their scriptures. The secular, liberal and inclusive Jews of Israel are both more suffering the consequences of the Hamas incursions and having to defend their country without the help of a boisterous, self centred, trouble causing minority."

"500-700 women and children dead, no food , power or water allowed by Israel. All war crimes, yet our pathetic government backs them and actually wants to help."
Re: Hamas attack Israel
It's not often I agree with SOH but he's right. Israel has a right to be there as do the Palestinians. Hamas were wrong to do what they did. Israelis are wrong to do what they are going to do and exterminate over 1million Palestinians. Forgiveness is the Christian way but that's hard to do when the people next door are committed to exterminating you and your kind. More would be achieved by a step back and forgiving Hamas I feel...

"comma The broad thrust of what Braindead quotes is correct, however, as usual, the fucking idiot provides no source, let alone a link. In fact, the poll was was conducted by a reputable company (ICM), for a reputable news broadcaster (C4) in, um, 2016. The editorial quoted is from the Jewish Chronicle. https://www.thejc.com/news/uk/poll-reveals-more-than-a-third-of-british-muslims-believe-jews-have-too-much-power-in-uk-1.63563 What a massive prick he is."

Re: Hamas attack Israel
"brundal, on the flip side of that Israel has dropped 6000 bombs into Gaza, where babies would have been killed and bodies mutilated….it has to be made clear that BOTH sides are exacting revenge on each other."
Re: Hamas attack Israel
Claret on my shirt Do you really think killing babies and mutating the bodies is justified. The world is watching and will act against Hamas . Iran and Jordan etc want a holy war against anyone that doesn’t conform to there why of life.
