"Tucked away on the bbc website live timeline was a comment from Ehud Barak. He said that Israel plan to enter Gaza, demilitarise it, remove Hamas and hand authority over to Fatah. If that is correct, its massive news. The only reason Hamas was created (partly funded by Israel) was to prevent Gaza and WB having a single political leadership which would lead to a natural 2 state solution. Hamas was a branch of Muslim Brotherhood who have caused nothing but aggro in the Middle East since it was founded. What is happening is obviously being orchestrated by forces beyond Israel and Gaza, the next few weeks and months could be horrendous. It is impossible to remove Hamas without a huge loss of civilians, maybe somebody has made the decision that it is a ""price worth paying"" (copyright Madeline Albright). Keep an eye on possible terror attacks in Qatar."
