One of the reasons for a police ""softy-softly"" approach here is that the country lacks adequate prison accommodation were they to start going after and rounding up the extremist agitators, and home secretary after home secretary will not want a spike in the number of prisoners on their watch; they'd rather release paedophiles and violent rapists back into the community to free up cells than watch prison numbers rise.
