"The housing market is the demand for housing. The argument presented seems to be about housing supply being reduced by population pressure driven by migration. Even if that were true, which it isn’t, the effect of migration on people’s ability to buy property, i.e the housing market, is not actually even being discussed. So it is with you braindead fanatics - it’s all bullshit talk."

"Debs i think you must be confusing me with somebody else, I don't remember saying we should microchip immigrants. I don't think we should let ANY illegal immigrants in our country - is that clear enough for you? I don't really care what labels you want to put on me either, I'm past caring about the lazy emotion-based arguments. My priorities are Family, God and country. Fuck knows what yours are."

Rios xultural.marxism.is a well known anti Jewish slur. Look.it up. ...it is racist when you talk about people who aren't like you in the way you do. I remember you saying we should microchip migrants as if they were animals......not dissimilar to tattooing them really.

Nutsin I will relabel.it as xenophobia just for you. Either way making sweeping generalisations about groups of people you seem.to think you are superior to and finding excuses to uphold that attitude is exactly what I am calling you out for . If you don't get that then you are thick.as you are bigoted. Anyway enjoy your evening Oswald.....

"I was born in 1957. I can remember my ""elderly"" relatives retiring in their mid sixties and conveniently dying two years later. Convenient for the old age pension system, and it freed up housing. Longevity, in all industrialized countries, is causing a housing shortage, as retired people now last into their 90's. I have lived in Italy and Germany, and for the last 30 years in the U.S.There is an affordable housing shortage where I live (Northern California) and because of Proposition 13, older people can stay in their large homes for 30 years in an ever increasing state of decay."

"I've never used an anti-jewish slur, I have Jewish family and friends. Being anti-immigration is not the same as being racist, you seem quite confused what label to stick on me now. I'm not anti-immigration either, I'm anti-uncontrolled immigration or having our immigration policy set by external agencies. You seem to want to cede our sovereignty and power to every and any foreign power with no idea what their intention is, same as you don't care who comes into our country without being vetted."

"Darlis Abbott straight to resorting to calling people racist abuse her argument is flawed. A typical fuckwit tactic that has worked however the sensible people have had enough of this nonsense and now see it for what it is. An excuse for more handouts, handouts we can’t afford. Bringing in millions of migrants in a short period is bound to affect the housing market, how could it not? It is common fucking sense and has fuck all to do with Racism."

You certainly talk like one. Using anti Jewish slurs and constantly banging on about the threat of other groups...esp Somalis oddly enough. You marryi g a foreigner doesn't make you anti immigration.....Farage was also.married to a foreigner and he couldn't handle people speaking in their first language on a train.

"I understand all.too.well.Rios that governments need racist twats like you., when their billionaire mates and other businesses need people to work.on.low incomes and don't want to drive down wages with high unemployment ( not much of a vote winner) , then immigration not only solves that problem.but they get to then blame foreigners for all.their other failings and the likes of you will just suck.it up."

"In order to avoid confusion, how about absolutely ZERO immigration into the UK for, say, 5 years. No advanced notice, wake up one day and no more immigrants. No favouritism, no bribing officials - just zero immigration. Anybody that does arrive, via any means, is shipped off to Rwanda to be assessed and then, if deemed acceptable, only allowed in under a 2 out, 1 in protocol. And now a war...sorry...word from our sponsor."

The article is old but it makes a proper economic point about the net economic benefit of migration to the UK conomist.com/graphic-detail/2018/09/26/migrants-contribute-more-to-britain-than-they-take-and-will-carry-on-doing-so?utm_medium=cpc.adword.pd&utm_source=google&ppccampaignID=18151738051&ppcadID=&utm_campaign=a.22brand_pmax&utm_content=conversion.direct-response.anonymous&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiAxreqBhAxEiwAfGfndFC-3scSIxee0OA1P24oBrAWUPlb8M3r06DC7DWEcGaNPaMNfd8UtBoCU0sQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

"Anybody who thinks immigration does not play a part in our economic situation does not understand economics. Part of our economic problem is our non-contributory welfare system (including housing benefit) which is attractive to economic immigrants who do not wish to work or can not work. When you are in govt, your first duty is to the people of your country; their safety, health and economic well-being. The government is not voted for by Somalis, it does not represent them and has no mandate to do so. I do not blame the Somalis (for example), they are acting rationally in coming here. I blame our idiot govt and fuckwits like Debs etc who just want to be seen to be nice to other people while fucking their own people over."

"Westside 8:52 Fri Nov 10 There is lot of that about around where I live. There are whole estates that have planning permission, get fenced off and then not built on. There is one near my old office building that has been left unbuilt for more than a decade. It does not suit developers' profits to build at scale quickly as the more that go on sale at once the less thay can get for them. It also makes no sense to do that when house prices aare rising faater than inflation as banking higher margins for the future makes sense as long as they have sensible revenue from what they do builld. What does get built quickly are small to medium scale gated estates of 4/5 bebdroom datached homes which are exempt from affordable housing quotas and apartments in old office buildings.Even those apartments are stupidly expensive."

"Funny that goose Developers are sitting on land without building anything, then selling it on for profit – a vicious cycle that can make it impossible to create affordable homes. What can be done to stop this speculative feeding frenzy? @ollywainwright Much of our housing demand comes from.outside the capital.from.people needing affordable housing because they can't afford to live in it. You can't blame immigrants for that as how many do.you think are buying up.expensive London property? Foreign investors will be buying some but scapegoating immigrants for our housing crisis is just I'll informed nonsense. A lot of the places where housing is most needed will barely have any migration but will have 2nd home owners or nimbyism aplenty. Sunsk.even ditched a housing bill.designed to.ease the problem but was threatened with a rebellion from.Tory mps in the seats where planning was being extended Eff all to.do with migrants."

Westside the housing construction industry does not have the land or the capacity to keep pace with such a sudden growth in population. We’ve not even started talking about the infrastructure required to keep pace.

"Cappy, Mass immigration is also hurting the housing market in the US. We currently have interest rates way up which would usually bring down home values only they aren’t because there is a shortage of housing. Why? 2 reasons mass immigration, look at the problems New York is having because of it and also building costs are through the roof due to inflation. Which is why the younger generation are complaining that they can’t afford to buy or rent. Good eh! Same thing is going on in Blighty! But well you know, idiots like you throw around the “R” word then wonder why pay doesn’t increase in line with inflation. Probably because of all that cheap labour that keeps coming in, although in Blighty they have a different problem they show up and live off tax payer handouts. Money I’m sure could be better spent elsewhere on improving the lives of British people."

"Nutsin If you came here seeking asylum and go on to commit a serious crime (murder, rape or terrorism) you should not be imprisoned, you should be deported or executed. The deportation method needs to change; instead of protracted court cases, it should be a deportation trial by trebuchet from the cliffs of dover, with their testicles tied to the sling. You could raffle tickets to it or screen it on ITV ""He's a scumbag, get him out of here"""

"Population growth has outpaced housing growth. Now birth rates haven’t increased, in fact they’ve declined. So what’s driving population growth, and therefore causing a shortage of housing? Houses not being built?"
