Israel declared independence in 1948 and was immediately attacked by the The Arab League who didn't declare a Palestinian state in their part of the UN partition because they thought they could destroy Israel and have it all. They lost and haven't stopped attacking and crying since. Consequences! Iran and Israel were friendly until the Islamic regime overthrew the Shah and refused to recognise Israel. Israel even helped Iran in the war with Iraq after that but Iran has continued to oppose it and via it's proxies has been attacking Israel for decades.
