How can you make a decision on how the country is run if you’re not seen as an adult fully responsible for your decisions? I don’t even think you can legally leave higher education anymore at 16, but you can vote? Recently I’ve seen that kids at that age are more “babied” than we ever were. I knew kids that moved out at 16 and were working; living their own lives back in the 80s and 90s. I think that unheard of now. At 16 you have a hypothetical view on life.
