General Election - July 2024
This appears to be the rumour on Sky. An easy win for Starmer and some big names losing their seats. The Country needs a change but is it going to get one? The thought of seeing that annoying Beth Rigby for 6 weeks though is a horrifying thought.

Re: General Election - July 2024
The existential threat for the Tories no one is talking about is how do they replace a large chunk of their bedrock support that will sadly pass away over the next 10 years. This could be cataclysmic for them if and when they get this wrong.

"Half the UK population don't pay tax. Half of them are fucking obese and eat ten cows a week. Most need vast NHS resources just to help the cunts walk. Tax everybody at 10%. Ever many, woman, child and trans fucking oddball. Make everyone have a huge fucking stake in doing well, eating less cows and paying for the shit they create."

"Extinction Rebellion have announced that they will do a 3 day protest at Windsor Castle next week, bunch of cunts. I also imagine that the Junior Drs strike will be called off now and they accept the offer that the Labour party give them which will be exactly the same as the Tory party offered them."

Re: General Election - July 2024
",,,""the corporations and billionaires would be taxed appropriately ""... You haven't put a figure on ""appropriate"". Would taxing at 100% anybody holding or earning wealth over 100,000 pounds in any one tax year be ""appropriate""? To make it clear, I think that anyone worth more than 100k at any moment in time (cash, property & earning expectations included) has more than enough money to live on so should immediately hand over the excess to the government for them to use ""appropriately""."

Re: General Election - July 2024
Hopefully we will see a revised inheritance tax assessment being raised for the woman who parcelled off billions of pounds of property to Mr Charles Saxe-Coburg & his son William recently That would replace the nil assessment obviously

"If global governments were prepared to really tax wealth in a coordinated way, the corporations and billionaires would be taxed appropriately and it would wipe out most poverty. Then the workers/ standard rate taxpayers would be able to get pay rises."

"I see that UNITE have suggested to the new Labour government that they borrow money to fund the pay rises their members are fully entitled to after years of inflation outstripping their pay - as if UNITE members were the only ones to go through this. How about becoming more productive and actually EARNING that entitled pay rise, you workshy cunts; neither the country or your employers are charities set up exclusively for your benefit."

"Wonder how long it will be before the unions come knocking on the door of no.10 demanding a big pay day. They will believe they are owed this as payback for all the strikes these past couple of years which were obviously politically motivated. Also be interesting to see how vigorously the eco loons will be blocking roads, defacing artworks or generally behaving like spoilt middle class cunts now that the 'nasty' party has been voted out."

"The belief that Labour is the party of open-borders and the free-movement of people is as lazy as it is delusional. Attributing it to the rank and file of Labour supporters is only marginally less lazy and delusional. Labour is the party of controlled markets and interventionist policy, which is why I’d never vote Labour."

"Nutsin 9:27 Sun Jul 7 Labour ran on a tougher immigration policy than the Tories. They directly, in clear language, pledged to stop the boats and send people home: https://labour.org.uk/updates/stories/labours-immigration-and-border-policy-stop-small-boats/ This is why its quite funny when their supporters pretend mass immigration isn't a problem. (No I don't expect Labour to honour the above but it'd be great if they do for many different reasons)"

"Looks like France has got themselves a coalition of the left, most of whom detest each other LOL, only reason they joined forces was to defeat the far right! the Far right has had to accept the democratic vote, the lefties on the other hand are busy celebrating by vandalizing national monuments, flying Palestinian flags and letting off flares, mind you that's tame after their efforts last weekend when they thought the far right would win, so they rioted en masse such was there dissatisfaction at the democratic process not going in their favor. As much as i wouldn't like to see the far right get power in any country these French lefties are a Bunch of cunts"

"The election results in France appear to be hilarious and tragic in equal measure. The New Popular Front Alliance of communists, eco-nutters and left wing activists despise each other and have almost no common ground beyond being ordered to oppose Le Pen. The French will keep schtum during the olympics and then political chaos will unfold. All because Macron decided he didn't like the Euro election results."

"Yorkammer You're a fucking prick. 'Farge and Robinson'. 'Nastier'. 'Decent people'. 'Far right'. The use of any one of those lies would make you a moron, the use of all four makes you a sinister Marxist twat."
Re: General Election - July 2024
Interesting dilemma ahead for the Tories. Do they embrace Farage and Robinson to become a nastier right wing party and risk disenfranchising their traditional base of decent people. Or do they become the moderate centre right party and risk having their vote split by the far right. Can't see how they can get through this without imploding.
